This was great! Such an enjoyable read. I loved how you showed Conan always willing to sacrifice himself and being stupid enough to not care about his own health. He was easily my favorite part of this story.

Unfortunately, I'm not a big fan of Kogoro. There are just a bunch of problems I have about him in canon that I can't overlook. This, however, was highly enjoyable. I liked reading it and thought you did a good enough job of showing the positive parts of his character that I didn't mind him.

I'm curious about what will happen to the characters after this. I know the story is complete but I'm curious if the crime scenes will feature different interactions between the two. I also liked how you didn't focus too much on the whole 'Conan is using them as human shields' thing. I personally don't think his actions regarding that are a good idea but I also don't like Ran or Kogoro in the first place. It's not part of a story I want to read so I'm glad you didn't spend too much time dwelling on that.

Holy crap! Let me start off by telling you just how amazing this fic is! I didn't even know I needed this kind of interraction from both of them until I read this, and gosh, everything was so perfect. Your characterization was on point, the way Kogoro didn't treat him all that differently after calming down from knowing the trutuh about Conan/Shinichi, Conan/Shinichi trying to keep level headed even though you can see the vulnerability and fear from him losing Kogoro.. and how you told the story from Kogoro's pov made it all the more satisfying because from that we can know how he's really feeling about Conan/Shinichi's struggles through the years.

Then Conan called him OTOUSAN and tears fell from my eyes, and when I read that line, 'how could he refuse a child's call for father?' I BAWLED LIKE A BABY :""

We need more Kogoro & Conan father/son fics in this fandom and you, my friend, have done a very amazing job in delivering their relationship to a deeper meaning! I hope you continue to write because you clearly have talent for it! Thank you, and good luck on your next works :))

I seldom read fics about Conan and Kogoro but you've written this very well. The uncle/father-son relationship was lovely.
Though the claustrophobic scenes were a little hard to bear, everything felt very realistic, like I could imagine how they were moving to get to safety. Great job :)
