I think that David will doubt it but ultimately trust Max enough to believe him, as for cutting down on the swearing, you had Max to a tea in this chapter, not too much and not too little, just do this again and you should be fine! -

I really like how your story is going with a new camper whos after David so suspenseful. Everyone sounds like their own character but can you cut back on Max cursing a bit I mean I love Max's sarcastic doesn't give a shit tone but he doesn't curse all the time

Everyone is in good character but Max, he doesn't swear quite so much in the canon, so you might want to cut down on that, and after Max's little moment with David in the Season 2 finale, I think that he might admit to himself about at least him being a decent guy at this point (other than that though, everything is great!).
