Okay, I've got to admit that I love this. Masterful.

The Illusive Emperor was great. A lot of action and plots. Some few problems that I hope are fixed in this rewrite. Speaking of which is off in quite a different way. Marianne's murder was less dark which I hope won't really ruin his character much (the ruthlessness). The other characters also have quite the introduction. I hope you guys well. Keep writing!

This is a pretty damn good start, well worth the read.

I like this story a lot and look forward to further chapters. I hope Britannia continues to grow more powerful and look forward to Lelouch officially reappearing to take the reigns. Also I have one question, what is the status of technology from the Code Geass Universe, I’m assuming Knightmares are still present but what about Blaze Luminos shields and Haldron cannons?

All in all, excellent, and I'm definitely seeing the step up in quality from the original. Not only in terms of technical writing (everything is just smoother here) but in terms of characterization and plot. The Illusive Emperor was great but it also read a bit like an adolescent power fantasy. Lelouch seemed to become this Illusive Man 'Zero' character so quickly and just snatched up Kallen like he was catching his first Caterpie.

I digress. Here you're shoring up all the various characters with a much better foundation than they used to have. I didn't really care for Jane Shepherd in the original, but here she actually has a more solid introduction that will better justify her jumping ship to the Alliance. I'm predicting right now that Naoto dies in custody and that turns Kallen into an angry anti-Council firebrand. And it works better than the rescued damsel thing she originally had. The political maneuvers are better executed (an 'absent' Emperor makes more sense than a fake death).

All in all, just better than the original and a very interesting start.

PS: I still think The Illusive Emperor is a better title than The Illusive Empire.

I'm assuming that her Code isn't as nifty as the original? Or maybe it is, but instead of being straight up magic it's based of off the prothean VI's millennia worth of research (a daunting task without test subjects) into it's creator's psychometry ability? The data that they read had to be "stored" somewhere, which would make a nifty place to keep a quantum detailed backup of a person's body to reset to, and maybe even use Eezo (since those with psychic abilities tend to also be racial biotics) to actually move everything back into place?

Or maybe it's the protheans that have changed to have used the same knowledge as those who created the Codes in canon?

So many nice touches blending the two settings together. It's even better than the old version (which makes sense since you replaced it for this).

Nothing else to say beyond wishing this had a chance in hell of updating more often, but you all have different priorities

I like the characterization of Schneizel, but Odysseus and his mother should have been abducted and placed under house arrest. It would have been considerably more moral, and I care about that.

Hah. I like this enormously, and hope the sex never goes as far as it did in Of Gods and Monsters - you seem competent enough that it would be thew only thing I'd drop this for.
