Right. I remember reading the original ages ago. Fun, but flawed I remember thinking. Fun enough that I didn’t mind the flaws, to be fair.
I’ve only read the first chapter here so far but I will say your writing has improved so remarkably. That is rare, and doubly so for rewritten fics.
The flow is enrapturing, there are fewer small errors, and it’s altogether more dynamic. I’m getting a better sense for the setting, the scale of the world feels bigger and more immersive, and the chaotic nature of battle with demons is very well captured in your descriptions.
So, it is one of my new favorites and the award for most improved is a given. Also, as a doom fan first, I’m enjoying the upgraded threat status of the demons from glorified zombie hoard to decidedly cataclysmic — They sell the slayer, after all.

Great story but where the hell is Daisy the rabbit? It is a sin to not add her.

Please don't listen to those people who ask for all these crap about Tuka and Daisy. This will turn your story into shit. Doom Slayer is a demon genocide machine not a babbysitter for kawaii crap

Glad to see that you’re back and a revamped story no less! While it’s a bummer that the last version has been shelved, I can understand why things are the way they are as DOOM Eternal revealed far too much lore and new abilities for the original to continue.

I’m excited for this brand new take on the tale regardless. Slayer’s new abilities and enhancements to his Praetor suit are just too tantalising to ignore.

Some things I hope to see:
• Meeting Tuka again. That encounter with the Marine and Elf was one of the highlights of the previous version as it developed slayer as a character by giving him more human characteristics without compromising his “FUCK ALL” attitude. Perhaps it could expanded upon in a “The last of Us” style relationship where the Doomguy brings Tuka along in his rampage.

•Daisy the rabbit NEEDS to have some form of presence here. Maybe the bunny people would make Doomguy do a double take and urge him to defend them from demon kind in order to avoid another Daisy Incident.

•Doomguy vs giant demons. Could be those behemoths that he freed from their shackles or the Titan, heck even the Icon of Sin. Doom Slayer should take in on in fisticuffs cuz y not?

•VEGA. Our boy VEGA is just too good not to have around. Perhaps he could be discovered by one of the inhabitants of GATE’s fantasy world and be hailed as a god? (Well he kinda is in DOOM, but oh well)

• Doomguy bringing a chainsaw to a sword fight. Just make it happen.

The one thing I’d hate to see:
•JSDF’s presence would ruin it IMO. They aren’t needed here. Let ARC or UAC be the otherworldly organisation instead as others have suggested.
