I was raised on "The Tick" cartoon and the way Tick was portrayed was way, waaaay different. Someone on TVTropes said it right - Tick from 2001 show was at his dumbest. Don't get me wrong, there were good things about this show (I will forever like Batmanuel better than Die Fredermaus; and Destroyo was a great one shot supervillain), but Tick wasn't one of them.

Your story in of itself is nice. I really like the final conclusion that Tick needs someone who can ground him and help him not making all those mistakes he made throughout the fic (especially because we all know he will find such a person in form of Arthur)... but yeah, Tick not understanding what food is or what movie is (even though he earlier used the word himself) kind of make it hard for me to enjoy this fic.

But I really hope you will write more fics to this fandom because we need more fics to "The Tick".

Ha, that sounds about right! It's hard to be a hero with a learning curve. But he's dedicated! He'll push through!
