Magnus56 chapter 4 . 5/1
Ya I dislike the entire IRL World Vampires subplot going on not gonna lie. Hell I like Vampire Intrique most of the time in Vampire the Masquerade and games like it. I can't wait to see what Quintis is gonna try to do to Gabriel. But I dislike the implications.

1. It dehumanizes the main protagonists. Mixing fantasy elements like Vampires etc into the quote un quote real world Dystopia undermines the very premise of an Isekai. If your not going from a normal (or relatively normal) IRL world to a fantasy world then its not a Isekai. It's just a fantasy realm with multiple layers.

It removes the main characters away from regular people and elevates them into the fantastical and the mythical. This dehumanization makes ti more difficult for people to relate to them, and in an Isekai that is sort of what the entire point of main characters (or at least one of the main characters) to be. Someone to relate to. This story has no one to relate to, no one.

I mean even in Vampire the Masquerade you start off as Human but then get turned into one and get introduced to the World of Vampires. In this story... It's thrust upon you like you should know what it is, and then your thrust into YGGDRASIL and the two fantasy worlds mix. It's a whiplash for the readers.

2. it establishes that Transfer as being man made (or vampire made if that's the thing). The greatest mystery of Overlord done like that ugg. Specially after Overlord has already established it so isn't possible to do with Dive technology. The smell, sensations of touch etc all of it impossible. In the LN's we spend lot of time stressing the New World is a real like world with game mechanics super-imposed upon it. How it has been changed by introduction of tier Magic etc etc. And if thats true these Vampire invention transdimentional travel? I think not considering how Quintius dismissing it as being "trapped in that silly game".

The whole reveal at the end with Quinitus having a replication of Gabriel's Guild Seal in gold is interesting and entertaining. But as I've said before it further blurs the lines between the "fantasy world" and the real world that is foundational to Isekais. It further chips away at the very foundations of Overlord.

Honestly change words here and there in this story and you could make it an original story. I'd have fewer gripes about it then.
Magnus56 chapter 3 . 5/1
Time of Confusion indeed.

Points of interest that got my attention.

1. The whole infirmary bit seems incredibly contrived and out of place for YGGDRASIL. It seems made whole cloth just to build tension for the following scene. The only remote reason for its existence is RP contrivances like how the Baths were in Nazarick. It serves no actual purpose given how NPC's respanwed, and how you recover health in a fantasy RPG setting like YGGDRASIL was. In fact Gab could have easily been stabilized with one heal spell. Yet this contrivance seems counter to how its described in the chapter.

PS: I skimmed the Dream Sequence cause frankly havnt been a fan of them. but that's probably cause I hate Gab and his perfect mastermind vampire girlfriend who if had a bit of plausibility to her would never have married/turned Gab in the first place. Or you know treated him like a prince of princes.

But it sounds like your planning on the perfect Vampire spawn Gab to have a Dragon Soul to further make him even more OP on top of his already illegal cheat tech nanobots and other nonsense. I think you got a problem doubling down on Mary-Suism.

2. Dracon Keep's NPCS are far too experienced/matured. As we saw with Nazerick's NPC's in many ways they can act like children, can be unsure of themselves at times and what to do, and what they can be capable of. Which is kinda understandable considering their real ages, the possibility their conscious minds started when they were transfered to the New World etc. Albedo didn't even know she couldn't ride her Bicorn or why, Shalltear's Blood Rage while known in abstract wasnt really considered a major problem until it was etc. They know they have their abilities and what their "supposed to do" but none of them have ACTUALLY ACTUALLY used them all that much on their own initiative before the transfer. So they lack practice with them.

Ya maybe that might be a better word initiative. Dracon's NPC's have too much initiative and confidence in their abilities. I would expect far more confusion, infighting etc to basically FIGHT against their creator to subdue him. Or hell confusion as to what exactly to do as to accomplish that.

PS: That said I kinda like Charon as a character concept. He seems alright. Dunno about the Angel Doctor though. But she gets benefit of doubt until further notice.

3. Seriously the Land of Drake Riders were founded by 2 dragons... Not just one dragon like in the Draconic Kingdom but 2. And these dragons taught tribes of humans to ride their draconic cousins the Wyverns? And they didn't take personal offense for these puny humans to ride their cousins animals with their likeness... Sounds very un-dragon like both with the cooperation with 2 dragons and them teaching a bunch of weak humans to enslave/domesticate their cousins. I would more believe the nation was a social experiment by PDL or Brightness Dragon Lord than the 2 dragons thing you know...

The whole revelation the two dragons were married, had kids is even more strange. The Frost Dragon Lord tried something similar but he was an aberration, he was trying something NEW to create his own Frost Dragon Empire (this was mentioned several times in the light novels about the Dwarven Kingdom and their arc). Your introduction of them directly contradicts Overlord lore canon. Since well. What they are doing is exactly what Olasird'arc Haylilyal tried to do and succeeded. And that was mentioned to be AGAINST what dragons normally did in the New World that it was against what he called the "old way" of dragons.

What I find even more unbelievable is that their isolationist Wyvern riders. Theres a few things you kinda need for isolationism to fricken work you know... like Self-Sufficiency. How are they feeding these MASSIVE Wyverns who are literally only eat meat MAD_DOG?! Wheres the arable land in the mountains? There needs to be Inca style sloped farming Mad_Dog. And that only helps with the food situation for the people not the carnivorous flying Wyverns who need to eat livestock. If they get too hungry for flesh they eat people Mad_Dog like in the tale of Maud and the Wyvern.

And you know what livestock need?! What they really need? Pastures for grazing Mad-Dog which the mountainous countryside of the Drake Riders don't have. SO they can't be isolationist cause theres no way their self-sufficient in foodstuffs without a bit of raiding cause of their geography. It's not like they can BUY livestock in bulk just for their Wyverns to eat you know. Naturally in this world with monsters livestock and other meat is expensive as all hell. Too many predators about.

So ya I kinda don't like your depiction of the Drake Riders if anything they would be nomadic tribesmen who are "born in the saddle" with the wyverns forming a special connection with them. Their territory would mainly be the high mountains due to no one being able to traverse there easily but them, certainly not the imperial army their neighbors who feel threatened by their attacks. You know like Friend Jircniv was worried about when he found out Fulder defected to Ainz he mentioned the Riders as one of the neighbors he was worried about. You know the entire reason why they were ever mentioned in the LN's in the first place. Hell their official name is the Wyvern Rider Tribes! It's kinda self evident what their IRL parallels are...

The pycho girl torturing the dragon was a bit entertaining but meh i couldnt get into it. The whole premise for the setting kinda ruined it for me. Cause it rails completely against the world Overlord built.

4. When your scene transitioning to a completely different location do more than just a horizontal line insert plz. I like to do bold lines and location names at the top of those sections. It just helps with the reading. I kinda lost the Drake Riders section several times while re-reading parts of this cause of that issue of not being able to find my place in the story.
Varcisis chapter 22 . 4/25
Another quite interesting chapter, always intriguing to see how the council & those left in the new world are connected as well as how things progress.
UndeadLord22 chapter 22 . 4/15
(Late Reply)

As I consider this as a "Filler", nothing much would be going on other than additional information about the characters.

Also, to be corrected again, this is from another alternate world yes? Or no?
Dimension Distorter chapter 22 . 4/15
Really had to get off my lazy ass and write this review. I have to say, I definitely was curious to see how things were exactly going on this side of the multiverse, lol. Gabe's version of Earth, of course. So, like Alucard in Castlevania, Gabe and Alisha's children grew pretty fast, huh? Man, I could never imagine aging that quickly in body and having to wait for the mentality to catch up but I guess it makes sense. Humans have sturdy genes and Vampires just crank that up to 100.

And yet the Vampire Council aims to find them. Maybe to kill them off too. But Gabe and Alisha's friends are on the move to since they got word of this. We learn of Bellriver's death while Ulbert is a fucker, same as always. Of course, he'd allow himself to become a Vampire. I'm sure that's what 'Embraced' means. Ugh, can they sound any more up their asses? Top assassin or not, he's just a basic spawn and nothing else. Hope he's proud of himself.

But now it's time for the friends to get even more friends. I don't know how they can get allies to get these vampires off their backs but they'll definitely need them.
Spyro fanboy chapter 22 . 4/14
THEY HAD KIDS?!
I did NOT see THAT comming
Zandaino-Nova-Ari chapter 22 . 4/11
Thanks for the shout out and I have a feeling that this Fifth Seat named Adolf is one that we al know and hate

It’s nice to finally meet the kiddies as well. The rapid growth for them is quite understandable and well thought out.

For some reason I have a feeling that one of the ‘Old Guard’ is going to wake up and shit all over the Hierarchy carefully laid out plans by tearing apart a few countries and making trees grow out of the ground and shit.

pta917 chapter 22 . 4/11
Well, this was a fun little chapter to tie us over while we wait for the next chapter.

It's cool to see your version of Momonga going about his day and how Gabriel's story ties in into his life. Speaking of which, interesting information that you revealed regarding Momonga and his family's ties to this supernatural side of the world.

And, I smell a JoJo's reference... Which I loved in all its glory. Diego is great, love him. The others are also cool, but not as much...

All and all, a great chapter. So, keep up the good work.
UNHOLY LIGHT chapter 22 . 4/11
This story is being written so that it actually feels like it's two separate stories with how it goes back and forth between Gabriel and co in the NW and the gang in the OW, the fact that it's not a separate story means that theirs a high probability of overlap, meaning Gabriel or one of them back in the old world will find themselves or a way to travel to the other's location, either way it blends nice, especially if you read Undeadlord22's story, those who read it will know what i mean
Buujack chapter 22 . 4/10
I knew something was off because, after all the time spent in the New World before the World Gate adventures, he heard nothing of Nazarick. Momonga is not there yet! How did I missed that?!

I knew that you we're referencing other authors. My spider instinct reacted quickly! Hahaha!

Now you should do a backstory of the Council or some of the characters of it (I'm pretty curious of who was Quintus before becoming the 4th seat: an Equestor, the Pontifex Maximus, an Aquilifier or that is his new name because before he was known as Brutus. Yes, THAT Brutus). Or maybe more about Jon or the backstory of Suzuki Satoshi.

I really hope you don't take too long to release the next arc. The complexity that is reaching this fic is blowing out my mind.

Sry for the bilingual review, but I couldn't resist the urges (hahahahaha)

Anyway, take care of yourself.
And thx for the chapter
