Hi there! A friend recommended this piece to me despite my not having seen the movie just yet. This was truly a beautiful piece. I love the repetition of time and how with love there’s never enough. You portray the love between Antiope and Menalippe in such a beautiful way, showing the happiness, the sadness, the good times and the bad. You show them there for each other during times of war and times of grief. They’re friends and lovers. Partners in life and on the battlefield. It’s real and something we can all appreciate and hope for in our own lives. I also love how you incorporate Antiope training Diana and how it ultimately is the last thing that happens before the next war comes to their island. The end is bittersweet and leaves me misty-eyed because you know it is what Menalippe has feared for so long and will now come to pass because there’s no way to stop Fate. Absolutely beautiful job!

Steadily falling in love with your writing. Antiope and Menalippe just come alive, and I love this progression of their relationship and their love. The urgency as the story draws to a close is very well controlled and brings me right into it. I love that you chose to end it where you did, rather than show the death itself, but leaving them in each other's arms, as painful as it is. Just beautiful.
