Well this was a waste of time. Cliche dialogue, old tropes being rehashed. Sorry Golem but this story is a no go for me.

I really enjoyed this one! It was a very well written one-shot, and it was as full as it could be of greatness.

Well this turned out differently then what I originally thought. I was thinking the apology would take longer and the meat of the story would be Beast Boy trying to think of a good way to apologize leading to the backfire at the end.

The apology itself seemed to go well enough, especially with Raven finding some humor in what happened and laughing. There is some classic Beast Boy acting on impulse before his brain catches up and realizes what he is doing. Well, Raven didn't react negatively to the contact. That in itself should be considered a plus. Beast Boy was quick to leave at that point, not knowing how Raven would react. It is hard to tell if Raven is referring to herself or Beast Boy with that first idiot comment.

Well, that escalated quickly. That contact with Raven was enough to completely shift how Beast Boy looked at Raven, leading him to Beast Boy being unable to take his mind of Raven and being drawn to her to her presence. Raven is clearly aware of what Beast Boy is doing, though the exact meaning is lost to her it seems. I wonder if any of the others noticed his behavior. It didn't sound like he was being subtle.

So Raven was just as effected by what Beast Boy did as he was, though she is doing a better job of burying those thoughts and feelings compared to Beast Boy, though she is unable to banish them completely. Wow, her struggle to suppress those emotions was so great she completely tuned out her surroundings. That was a step up from a hug and a kiss on the cheek. It also had a bigger impact on Raven if the kettle is any indication. This time it is Raven who breaks away and retreats. It is still a bit ambiguous where Raven is directing her idiot comment.

Suddenly the tables have turned and now Raven is doing the starring. Raven starring seems to be a bit more intense considering she followed him all morning regardless of where he went. I feel like she even would have found a way to continue her watch even if Beast Boy took a shower. Raven wouldn't be following Beast Boy around like that unless she was working her way up to something. Even Beast Boy didn't try to follow Raven when he was starring.

I get what Raven was going for, she was to scared to enter a relationship with her powers. Boy did she flounder with her words. I almost feel like she should have made some cue cards. Beast Boy didn't take the whole thing well. Worse, he decided to blame himself for what happened. Well, no doubt that this Raven is referring to herself when she said idiot.

Suddenly it is the next day. Cyborg is given confrontation duty, or he volunteered. Either way, he is there to talk with Raven. Tell me or Starfire is next, and she has her pudding of sadness. Looks like all Raven really needed was that push from someone she trusted. Right now both her and Beast Boy are hurting. Time to try to mend things.

Luckily for Raven, Beast Boy is nearby at his thinking spot, so she can dive right in before her resolve wavers. I am glad that the whole rift between them was easy to fix the pair were able to pick up where they left off a couple days ago. This time the idiot is directed towards Beast Boy, but there is nothing negative about it and it is instead filled with affection.
