This was so sweet and unexpected! I love how you fleshed out Clint's family more than the movie ever did. You made it endearing and heartwarming, and it was lovely to see how Natasha responded to every turn of events in this story. So glad to have read this :)

oh! this was so good! my heart broke for poor nat when she thought that having a wife and kids would make clint leave her all alone. she deserves all the happiness and family love she can get. laura, especially when you write her, really grew on me, despite her sudden appearance. (still think that was silly and stupid if whedon since he didn't give any hints previously!) but i love how seamlessly nat fit into the barton family here. i also love the little call outs to the shield team of agents that we know and love!

I quite like your Auntie Nat origin story. Natasha first closing herself off from love, then opening to it. Clint trusting her with his biggest, darkest/brightest secret. Even Laura helping with the whole Clintasha facade (niiiice way of fitting in that necklace that all the Clintasha fans got so excited about!).
Laura's comments about Phil being the best were great. Also, loving the nod to May, Hartley, and Morse.

I love this, two smart women who do not have to turn in to green eyed monsters over one man, and a guy smart enough to appreciate what he already has.

Excellent story! I think it's a great snapshot back to how Clint and Natasha's relationship would have developed after she defected to Shield. I loved how Clint took her to the country to meet his family. Nice last few lines, too!

I love how Clint decided to show Natasha that he truly trusts her. It was a good move, and your explanation behind it all was really good. The little Barton family is so cute :) and Natasha having a bit of a family was great to read about.

So glad to have you back! LOVED the opening to this. You can just see Clint sputtering and moving away without hurting Nat's feelings. He gets her. And Laura does, too. This was probably the best possible way to show Nat that Clint trusts her. And as a bonus, she gets an entire family to love and care for her. The scared little girl from the red room finally has a family. We all carry the children we were inside us. I'm glad young Nat is going to get to see what a healthy childhood looks like. Laura and Clint are fantastic role models for her to learn from.
