This was the story I found on someone's favorite list that led me to discover you, so I figured I'd save it for last to review. I'm a sucker for TC-era Shandy, and this one didn't disappoint! Very original take on this episode and full of laughs! As with all your writing, I could totally see this happening on the show too! Of course, Duff was always more risqué with Brenda than with Sharon, so I'm so glad you wrote it because it's a lot of fun to read about and picture!

Now I'm caught up with all your stories. Shoot. I hope you find your muse again soon! Please?

If one just described the events of this story to me, I would expect it to be just awful - implausible premise, horrible characterization, the whole works.

Instead, it's all something that could actually happen. Sharon is dressed up because she was out for the evening when she got called in, simple. Even bending down while holding onto a stripper pole, leaning over and causing her skirt to hike up, and - most difficult to pull off - falling in Andy's lap are all written in ways that could naturally happen to a person on one of those nights where once one thing goes wrong, everything after it seems to follow suit.

And, best of all, they're both annoyed and embarrassed, and relieved to get away from each other; they react like Sharon and Andy would react under these circumstances. In the badfic this scenario would result in 90% of the time, they'd be making out by the end of it.

So, thanks for a nice surprise; this was a funny short story to start off my weekend.
