I am so glad to hear this story still lives! I recently got back into Rurouni Kenshin and went back through the old stories I Loved and found this one. So, I am so glad I await the next post with anxious excitement!

So happy to hear you haven't lost your commitment and live for this story! I've spent the last week or so reading it and I'm quite enamored with it though am a little anxious where the plot will turn. I desperately hope our two lovers aren't ripped apart. Typically I have a hard time engaging with main characters of stories that are a part of the original Kenshin-gumi, but you've done an e cells to job with Mara! It's as if she's always belonged! Keep up the wonderful work!

I'm extremely disappointed in myself for missing this story. I thought I had read all of the good kk creations out there on . I was pleasantly surprised to have your story prove me wrong!

I realize I'm only one chapter in so far, but I'm totally enjoying myself. Most of the stories currently published use a less guilt ridden Kenshin which I love (and am attracted to ;-)). But... after reading this chapter I've realized I kind of miss the older stories characterization of a more self conflicted Kenshin as I feel it holds truer to the series.

Looking forward to reading the rest of this tale!

I'm almost sure it's hopeless - but please, please continue this brilliant story. Your take on Sano is fantastic, Keshin and Kenji are great, and I'm looking forward to more of Saitou and O'Shea. And Mara holds the whole tale together...
And now we will probably never find out what happens. Sigh!

So I reread this story again, all in one shot, because I don't know how to go to bed like a normal person. I've reviewed before, but there is NO harm in reviewing again, so I'll go ahead and say, "ERMAHGERRRRRD! I'm so happy that this was updated!"

I know that, from years of my reading this, life has up and slapped you many times. And had you chose to completely abandon this story, I wouldn't have been fussed (well, I WOULD have- it's a damn good story!), because life comes first. That being said, I'm so glad that it was updated, and the changed in chapter 11 were interesting, because they still kept the previous tone, but were more in depth, giving us a deeper understanding of what was going on with Gensai, Sano, and Mara. And I really, REALLY don't feel bad about what happened to Ed, although I'd REALLY like to know exactly what he did to get the crap beat out of him.

All said and done, this new chapter was brill, and I'm set to wait as long as needed for the next one. Thank you for the update!

I don't want to threaten you with bodily harm since I know you've had a tough time of it but, you better finish this damn story! I've been disappointed by more than enough writers this year who have chosen to quit a story rather than finish it and to be honest it's downright depressing. This is such a wonderful story, so well written and thought out and we're just about to reach a climax. I hope that bastard Edward get's whats coming to him, and Saitou intrigues me. Is he going to figure out Mara's secret? The way you've integrated Mara into the story was really well down usually I don't like it when writers add their own characters into a story because they usually botch it up, but you've done a wonderful job on her back story and her past, and the reason that she was brought to the past in the first place. Also you don't make her perfect, or the miracle worker who sweeps in and fixes things, you make Mara amazingly real and human and that approach keeps me coming back to this story time and again.
