Huh, this is quite an original approach! I guess the dynamics between Chizuru and the boys will have changed quite significantly from canon; she basically fell into their secret world, whereas here, she has to guide them through her own one. I wonder if that will change how she interacts with characters like Hijikata, who are no longer operating under a formal authority structure (though undoubtedly Hijikata remains the leader, because someone's got to tell those knuckleheads what to do). It seems that there's a lot left to be revealed - like exactly what caused them to timetravel in their pre-war forms, and how Chizuru fits in with it all. And I'm really curious about the last paragraph - I wonder what this radiation is, and what it has to do with the gang (because I'm sure that it's not a coincidence considering everything else that's occurred). Really looking forward to seeing where you take this.
