Probe to Malapropisms chapter 1 . 7/27/2017 Loved the allegory reference, loved the bonding, loved the whump. I think maybe you could have played into themes of the allegory a bit? like, maybe juxtapose the difference between the perspectives of Shawn and Henry? Show how Henry can learn to understand Shawn's perspective by considering his situation, and vice versa? I don't know, you picked a really good metaphor and I feel like there could be a lot more you could do with it. I'd actually be really interested to see a couple more chapters symbolizing Henry and Shawn coming out of the cave and reaching a higher level of "enlightenment" or, in their case, empathy. |
