Canada Cowboy chapter 1 . 7/26/2017 Again, I see a lot of parallels between this and your modern day fic. I find it fascinating and also impressive that you were able to refer to all these in-game sections, interpret them in a modern light, and write it into a new story. Let's go over them to see how we can address these in greater detail. First off, I love the parallels between Sorey and Mikleo regarding what role they serve to each other. Mikleo really wanted to help Sorey here, almost like he needed to protect him. Even though Sorey had Lailah, a seraph in her own right, Mikleo was still prepared to risk his own life for Sorey. It's almost like in the story you wrote, where Sorey risked his life for Mikleo's phone and fell off that tower. Even though the reasons are different, we still see that sense of kinship here, which I think is a good thing. The next part is when Mikleo sees this as not just his dream, but their joint dream. That makes a great parallel to your modern day story, where Mikleo sees it as a joint dream for him and Sorey to step into the world together. Sorey just wants to be accepted because of his autism, and Mikleo sees it his goal to help Sorey because of what Muse went through. In both versions, we see the way they supported each other and how they aren't willing to abandon each other, no matter what the challenge ahead is. The parallels in this part is also profound and I'm happy to see it addressed. And of course, how can any Zestiria fic of yours be complete without a tickling scene? As if the dual tickling from your modern fic isn't enough, we get another tickling scene here. I somehow see Mikleo doing the tickling instead of being tickled, so I'm not sure why it's so one-way. In any event, I think this is just fantastic to see them come to an understanding. I hope to see more of that, both in this series and in the future chapters of your modern day fic. Thanks for a great entry for Day 2 and I'll try to get to the rest sometime soon. |
