Pretty interesting, where is the next chapter?

I liked the idea and the execution in the first chapter but the second one kinda lost me. It was good but the fact everything played out the same with mind reading powers seems a bit off.

He knew something was up with mercury and could just read emeralds mind to check since she was his partner, or even check merc’s mind before they took him away when he was fake injured.

Also Jaune’s seeming lack of emotion to Pyrrha’s death, only being used as a statement from him to get Blake to stay is a bit harsh.

Overall the idea is interesting and good to read but I think in the mid section onwards of chapter 2 the mind reading seemed to no longer really be a thing and that leads to the same outcome except Blake stays.

This chapter was well done but could have been better.

You didn't really transition well into the scene with Pyrrha questioning herself and Jaune comforting Yang after the match. That was the part where you lost me. Honestly at that point I though Jaune was seeing into the future or something because the events just didn't flow naturally.

I still liked it though. And I like this concept. I just think it could and should be used for more than just romance.

This is an interesting story that doesn't need to be a pairing. This could just be Jaune getting into crazy mind reading hijinks and it'd still be a blast to read.

I'd honestly love more of this at some point. But it seems like you've got alot on your plate.

Jaune is not so weak he can't even take on a sleep deprive Blake.

He gulped. As she'd already proven, Blake could kick his ass. She'd thrown him out of his chair faster than he could see, and she'd gone days without sleep. Even as exhausted as she was, Jaune couldn't make her do anything, not with how uncoordinated he was.

I'm sorry but this piss me off when Blake was sleep deprive she could barely move let alone hurt anyone, and you think Jaune is so weak that he couldn't even take her on in that state are you kidding me, also all he did was touch her on the shoulder and she knocks him on the floor and she doesn't even acknowledge it or even care that she hurt him, I know they aren't close but is making her a bitch to him really necessary.

the transition from the festival to the fall of beacon doesn't make much sense.

Ren the only proper response is "Yes I know you're Thicc so what's wrong?"

Pretty nice development of Knightshade here, alright! Special mention also goes to the worrying regarding having mindreading powers, too!

Though, hmm...I wonder how Jaune's peers would react upon finding out about his mindreading? And how far would do you think Jaune would go with his mindreading powers?

This is a pretty good premise for a fic. I also liked the progression of how Jaune learned of his abillity to him then using it for good purposes.

Interesting. I realise this is a commission, but hope you consider continuing the story if it gains enough interest. Either way great job, amazingly well written
