And I'm crying. So good.

Okay, you know I love your writing. And damn it you need to write MORE for this fandom and the lack of response to your stories is a fucking insult to fanfiction, I swear. But okay. Like. Dude. Your writing is so MATURE. You have these little themes that just hit me in the gut and it's actually repeated in the narrative! Like it's used to build up this amazing fanale when Hijikata realizes that he's become a "ridiculous" man. And it's just - it's all so perfect. I've been wanting to read a really BAM Kondo story for a long time and this is exactly what I wanted thank you oh so very much.

And you just have these little ways of describing - no - letting me EXPERIENCE these characters with snippets like "fills the room like thunder" in regard to Kondo's laugh. Like he literally feels like this larger-than-life man who resonates with my fucking SOUL. And then you have Hijikata who just felt so lost, even as a kid, and that it wasn't until he connected with others, forced himself to understand them, that he realized who he was himself in the end.

And my god. I loved this so much. Like you have no idea, dude. I kept on doing little excited hand flaps like Johan Hill from Get Him to the Greek movie. (Honestly, I just had to look up where that gif was from.) Just. Ugh. So good. I'm so irritated though since this is the last of your Gintama pieces that I've read, I think. But UGH It's so good! Your Kondo is so amazing! There's hardly any stories about him and he's usually, ah... well... yeah.

I'm trying to not write "so good" as obsessively as Yamazaki does after eating anpan for a month.

Omg... this... I... I. So in love with this. You have no idea just how much. I've always loved Kondo and you did such an amazing job of portraying him as more than just a slap stick laugh. Kondo has heart and I do think him and Hijikata shared something special. And the "ridiculous man"... perfection. Thank you so much for this gem!
