Great chapter! I loved the fact of Blake and Weiss going to Menagerie together, and with the Faunus gaining an understanding of Weiss and Blake’s friendship. Even if they don’t understand it.

I had a question, Emerald and Mercury had shit done to them. Are you planning on doing some shit to Ruby too? Like maybe not as terrible as Grimm Vision, but something similar?

The reason I ask is due to the fact that two out of the three had some physical (emotional for all three) done to them. Emerald with Ginger on Mountain Glen, Mercury with his Rape and torture. I’m just wondering if anything physically jarring, other then a broken bone, will happen to little Rubes to help her grow up.

Well that developed and ended a lot more safely than I thought lol, no repercussions since the place got blown up? Anyway I enjoyed this little arc and really wish I could watch those fight scenes in animation. Great job, looking forward to what happens next!

Really liking the flow and tone of the recent chapters! I get the feeling it's not the cheery side plot it seems to be right now but I'm enjoying it either way. It's a nice change of pace to see these characters having fun doing non-personal stuff, and the idea of playing movies through aura is hilarious-I love it when superpowers are used for mundane things (though the new weapon descriptions are very interesting and definitely something I'd want to see animated). Great job, looking forward to how this will play out :)

As someone who usually despises OCs, yours are really well done; they seem like actual human beings as opposed to of some sort of quirky ideal, and ones like Zephyr manage to play a pretty big role without at all stealing the spotlight from the canon characters. So great job on that!

One critique I have for the past few chapters is that they seem kind of disjointed-like they're random snippets of life instead of a continuing timeline. I had trouble following what's happening when and honestly I haven't been able to tell how long it's been since the last plot since chapter 16. I mentioned in an earlier review that I wish everyone got time to take a rest, but it feels like they skipped the recovery process and went straight back to everyday life-I know it's been established that Mercury does this but everyone else comes off as equally casual this time. Sometimes there are conversations that feel like they're blatantly throwing out lines for the next plot point (the conversation at the beginning of chapter 16 especially), but at the same time, it doesn't feel like they're moving towards a plot at all, rather just talking about it. There had always been great flow before now so I still look forward to what your have in store in the future.

For a long while I've forgotten that offing Cinder and the triplets isn't nearly the be-all-end-all of the protagonists' suffering, and while it sucked to be reminded of that in this chapter when Merc has finally been freed from all physical wounds ever (aside from the missing limbs), it's also great because then it means there is a lot more to come before this story can end and I look forward to more suffering (somehow) and more family moments. He does have one more limb left I guess! (Though I'm honestly hoping he's not going to lose any more body parts...) Parental Qrow is the best and every time I think of him and Merc I think of this fic. I think I've read the entire series at least twice by now and have revisited several chapters here and there. Great job as always, looking forward to seeing more!

YESSS. I've been refreshing so many times over the past few weeks, hoping that this would update and behold it did! Glad Cinder is over with, but did the woman she came with also die or just disappear off somewhere? Hope everyone gets a lot of time for peace after this. Awaiting the next update!

Wow. Just everything about this chapter. The description of Merc's burnt down house was already bad enough back in chapter 11, but it doesn't even go near the way you depicted his house this time. /So/ many levels of disturbing (which is not nearly a strong enough word), all the reasoning behind his behavior laid bare, all the implications about his life-I've thought about what it might be like a lot but this goes beyond anything I've ever come out with, which is saying something given how much I enjoy thinking that it's as bad as possible. I will be disappointed if his canon backstory isn't like this. What is with the water bottle by the way? It doesn't seem like Marcus has any qualms about drugging normally, so is there a specific reason for the stealth-drugging?

So glad that things are finally looking up at the end...though how many more body parts is this kid going to lose lol. Fuck your fic is definitely the thing I look most forward to in all of RWBY. I honestly wasn't even that invested in the canon series but now I'm hooked. Thank you for the quick and mindblowing update, thank you for writing this series, super looking forward to the next chapter.

Just binge-read the entire series in three days. This story is /really good/-really looking forward to another update soon! The only thing I'll say is to consider changing your summary to one that's less vague. This deserves to be read by a lot more people and the summary is most likely what's capping the views.

that whole basement scene creeped me the fuck out like every chapter gets me to hate Marcus that much more. Like wow okay thanks. I NEED MERC SAVED NOW THOUGH. I also like Qrow's fatherly-ness towards Merc like yes give me that it makes me sad and happy at the same time woo cant wait for chapter 12
