Guest chapter 1 . 6/17 Well done. I'm surprised his nose isn't broken. |
PurpleEmrald chapter 2 . 4/8 " I have climbed this hill, and now I will die upon it" gosh Merlin you're so dramatic. This is a mood though |
NoSugarForValdez chapter 3 . 1/14/2018 oh, that's okay, I didn't need my heart anyway. This is fabulous, and now I'm crying. |
m-j98 chapter 7 . 8/28/2017 hiiii, this is really nice :D I really loved this and I think you did very, very well for your first fanfiction :D I hope to see more from you soon :D |
Guest chapter 3 . 8/22/2017 I am crying. Nice |
Candle-lit Dreams chapter 7 . 8/22/2017 I totally read about sluagh just the other day! I read that word and thought, "Hmm, that looks really familiar." I was reading some Irish mythology and about their mythological creatures a couple of days ago and happened to read about them, so I thought that was a lovely coincidence. :) I also have to say that I loved Gaius's threat to Arthur, "If you even think about getting out of bed before I say so, I'll make sure you spend the next four days unconscious here." Ha! That made me laugh, because I could totally see Gaius saying it. I also really enjoyed Merlin going all out (and covering all of Camelot with his spell). It's always fun to see Merlin be powerful. Well, it's been an enjoyable ride, following your story - that was a great ending to a great little collection of stories. I'm kind of sad that it's over, but I do hope that you have some more stories up your sleeve to share with us. Best of luck in all your writing endeavors! |
Candle-lit Dreams chapter 6 . 8/22/2017 Holy smokes! I can really see the improvement in your writing all culminated in this chapter. Very good vivid details on the creatures, and little bits like the 'evil sound creeping into the cracks in your mind.' So good! Those creatures sounded and dark and evil... You wrote them well, because they were really creeping me out with their waxy, transforming faces and human screams. I know Merlin won't get hurt in this one, because of how you set up your stories, but it really does make me wonder what he is going to do in this situation... On to the last part of the last chapter! That's sad. It's the last one. :( |
Candle-lit Dreams chapter 5 . 8/20/2017 Ha! A plot bunny that involved a real bunny, that's great. :) I wasn't expecting an update so soon, so it made me smile when I got the alert. And in those stables, my, things escalated quickly. That was one vicious little bunny (kind of made me think and wonder if you were going to make it like the bunny in Monty Python and the Holy Grail). I love that Merlin pulled in his favor to get even with Arthur/help Arthur see how much damage one rabbit really can do. Wait... this is chapter five. Does that mean there's only one chapter left?! Ah! I'm curious to see what you do with the chapter where Merlin doesn't get hurt. Can't wait! |
Candle-lit Dreams chapter 4 . 8/19/2017 This was a lighter story, and delightful to read. I had been expecting Geoffrey in the library, but I found myself liking your Tercius character as the cantankerous and frustrating librarian. I have a slight fear of heights (or maybe it's just a fear of falling) and avoid ladders when I can, so Merlin going on that rickety death-trap was freaking me out. So even though this was a more lighthearted chapter, the ladder and the fall really stood out to me. Another great chapter, and I look forward to the next one! |
Moni Hasnone chapter 3 . 8/19/2017 I have read many Freya reveal fics, but none moved me the way yours did. And none of them had the excellent visual picturization like yours. I was truly happy with your fic - it is brilliant beyond words! The fourth chapter you recently uploaded was definitely lighter than the third chapter. And it was also good. I don't know why but each chapter in your fic has impact. It makes its point and hits home really well. Thank you for your writing. Keep it up and keep udating. Your loyal fan, Moni |
capesinspace chapter 3 . 7/26/2017 oh dear my poor heart. the freya episode was way too much a sub plot to be left to only one episode. this was a great oneshot that ended the sub plot quite well! |
capesinspace chapter 1 . 7/26/2017 wow this a great start, i really like your writing style! keep up the good work! |
Candle-lit Dreams chapter 3 . 7/23/2017 I've always thought they ended the Freya episode too quickly, that Merlin forgave too quickly. Sure that's a part of his nature, but after losing his first love, surely even Merlin needs time to get over it and forgive Arthur. So, even though Merlin felt slightly out of character when he was threatening Arthur, I didn't mind too much. He was delirious and hurting, and the feelings he had been hiding since Freya's death came to the surface. I really enjoyed this story, and I don't think you overdid the angst at all. (I love reading angst, so I might be a bit biased.) Good work, can't wait for the next one! |
Candle-lit Dreams chapter 2 . 7/21/2017 Great chapter. I was worried there for minute that Arthur and Merlin wouldn't get help, but phew! Thank goodness for kind strangers. Loving your stories, keep it up! |
rmatri540 chapter 2 . 7/20/2017 Cool chapter. Keep it up. |
