I don't know enough Tennyson to see the connection, but I do know good writing when I read it. You capture a lot of nuanced emotion here, that sense of having to be the hero every day, of having to be a student and a friend and a son/nephew every day. Part of what makes Peter such a great character and superhero is that his everyday struggles are very real for the audience, and we cheer him on as a kid just as much as we cheer him on as a spider-person. Love this little slice!

Poor Peter. He made such a difficult decision. It's interesting how the way he thinks it was a test shapes his perception.

Love how we get to see what Peter might have been thinking about after the movie. It was really cool and interesting!
