So Yang's idiocy of doing what she wasn't supposed to gets Ruby injured and now she basically does the exact same thing right after? Honestly, she deserves to die.

Great, Ruby is an idiot, worse an idiot with survivors guilt. Someone should really point out that she is more a hindrance and liability with her so called helping. Starving herself by given up her food when she is one of the fighters is absolutely useless if they get attacked and she is useless because she has starved herself.

Taking the damage instead of Weiss who likely wouldn't have even received much or at least raise her Aura to a higher level to defend against damage and crippling herself and again becoming a liability and hindrance, even worse when she is the one with practical knowledge of the area and how to survive in such situations.

To put simply she should be given a choice by Ozmin, either she see's a therapist and gets help or she is kicked out of Beacon as a liability to her team and others. Because her attitude right now is gonna get someone killed.

Heya, one way to hint that a character doesnt exist in a story is to use the same scene but they arent there

Take Roman vs Ruby in Chapter 1, instead of Roman kinda just running away, have the airship or whatever it is called in rwby-verse come, but its another goon piloting it or even a white fang grunt, really anything that goes: "hey, this generic disposable person replaced this important person, take the hint please" works in my eyes for telling the readers that a person doesnt exist/has another role entirely in a story

Despite knowing this story is finished, and thus I don't have to wait in hopes of more chapters, this by far deserves a solid follow and favorite. Usually I just use these to keep track of stories that are being released, and if I enjoy a story I'll leave a review saying such, but this one...man, for 77k words, I was honestly wary, since I'm not a fan of shorter than 120k usually, but this just...blew all my expectations out of the park. I loved it, the explanation for her condition was pretty solid, and the relationships and intrigue was awesome.

Man so no Crescent Rose? I know I should not be bothered but I always consider Crescent Rose as a part of Ruby. Having her without it doesn't sit well on me.

Were you by any chance referencing Kingsmen in this chapter?

This was a nice and pleasant read. That said, maybe it's the hatred of filler scenes mentioned in the postscript, but it did feel a bit lacking. Filler scenes aren't inherently bad; used well, they can show the changes in a dynamic in action.

Substance issues aside, I really enjoyed it. A satisfying conclusion of the story; a solid journey from start to finish.
