This was such a lovely story. We don't often see things from the perspective of the minor characters, but I can't imagine this story being suited to anyone else. The addition of Porthos at the end was a nice tie-in to the core characters and I loved his reaction to Brujon's method of honouring his friend.

What a beautiful story and a really original idea. It gives a new insight into the mind, loyalty and heart of a Musketeer and I applaud your mind, which finds a tiny detail in a sub plot and crafts it into a memorable short story. So glad you liberated it from your notebook!
