As an avid fan fiction reader, I enjoy stories of all kinds (I’m partial to unusual Percy Jackson and Harry Potter fanfics, though). It’s a shame you didn’t update, and it’s been 3 years - but I just felt that I needed to let you know that this shit slaps. Same as the 1st book in this “series”. Good luck.

I come from CoT but I'll admit to being scared to start this one. I want to but if you don't ever update again I would spend the next 5 years wondering if you will. So for now it's on my followed list and I hope to get a email saying "Butalearner has updated..."

I know that's it's been a long time since you've updated this and I hope you're still around to read this. I really enjoyed reading A Curse of Truth and rushed straight here to read the sequel. While I do have some issues with ambiguity in some of the phrasings from a plot perspective (sometimes I get very lost while reading and have to go back after reading ahead to make sense of things) but I would very much like to see this story continued. Thank you for the laughs and memories, and I look forward to seeing many more.

You know, I was half expecting for a snake-and-egg Orphion to show up over the camp fire, if not an apparition of Astoria Greengrass appearing to play Deus Ex Machina for William’s world-hopping. That said, it would probably not endear Will to the locals embroiled in battle with a titan if he was “claimed” by an older titan.

The Percy Jackson series, now that I see it subjected to an SI for the first time, seems like it would be both perfect and horrible for such a fanfic. On the one hand, there are very few instances where you could just skip through several hassles to progress the story, a la “sending Remus and Sirius to collect the horcruxes”, because most things and treasures required can only be obtained through hazarding adventures. You can’t just Room of Requirement yourself into a badass, because the things you need are halfway across the world and guarded by Fate itself.

At the same time, that means there’s not much for your SI to do if they don’t want to risk shooting things straight to hell by interfering with those adventures. Your approach here of giving Will his own parallel adventure is both brilliant and risky. He can’t cheese his way to victory at all, but you’ll also be quite separated from the main cast, which is always controversial in fanfiction. If you decide to pick this up again, I am dearly looking forward to how it goes. Know that, at the very least, you’ve convinced me to reread this young adult series, even if I have to bash my head against the wall at preteen/teenager stupidity every hour or so.

gonna admit that I really loved your self insert. the first one... absolutely brilliant. I cried several times. laughed often. grinned like a Loon. and bawled at the ending. all those letters... I couldn't take it.

while I do admit certain characters might have been different (I read your authors notes) in order of importance. LunaHermioneDaphneAstoriaHarryNeville. Yeah fine I'm sexist. but there wasn't ever an option for BL in this story. or a harem revolving around Hermione. So I'll take what I can get.

Anyways. I loved so much of the story. I wish you had the response and reviews to kindle more of the rediculous passion required to continue with this series.

I understand however that motivation, interests, commitments life itself will change and not follow the whims of a random fanfiction site lurker hoping for stories.

All I want to say is how I'll finish your posted story. put this comment to show my appreciation and love for your story. And admit that I also cried from your more emotional scenes.

It's really a shame you've abandoned this one. I like it a lot more than the Curse of Truth which I admit I had a few problems with. I also don't know this fandom all that well so a lot of it is new to me.

I hope you reconsider writing it someday. I actually went ten years without writing anything, only to start again last year. It's actually been really fulfilling now to start again. Maybe consider writing it and then not showing it to anyone until you have a bunch written? That helped me take a lot of the pressure off getting back into the groove of it.

I'm really curious what you would have done and what the prophecy would have said...

It's sad that you are not writing anymore but that's ok, everyone has their own life though I do wish you the best of luck in your life. If you ever return to writing though, know that many people are awaiting impatiently to read your stories. I don't know if you are going ti read this though

Interesting ... got to this story after your Harry Potter tale. Kinda wish that William (or should I say, 'Bud'?) would send a letter, or make a phone call looking for the Grangers. I mean, if he can receive letters from one reality, can he not send them from another? Inter-dimensional mail ...

At any rate, really enjoyed this. If you don't manage to finish the tale, could you put up a synopsis of how it was going to end?

I have no idea how the hell I missed this being updated but welcome back all the same. This is amazing btw. I love the new story and I do feel the difference in Lerner time has made for you but he still rocks.

I think mystokinesis is mainly in the short story the son of magic about Alabaster son of Hecate though I think they need incantations to do spells but then again that could be written off as a focus tool or cost mitigation.

Ok, so my daughter read your ACoT, and then told me to read this. I am a fan if OCSI, so I did. I am of another fandom entirely, and I have to so, I am hooked already. The Labyrinth was my favorite Percy Jackson book, so my daughter has me hook line and sinker. I do have my theories, though. I have your OC in a different Universe altogether, as a 'Traveler'. Tell me, Traveler, been to Fillory lately? lol. I love it and I am simply on the edge of my seat waiting for more!

A very intriguing and interesting story. I may not know much about Percy Jackson Universe and only came here because A Curse of Truth, but I'm all hooked up in this one.
I find it shame that you don't continue the intended sequel of Harry Potter's Fanfics, but even more so reading your foreword that implies this story might be in hiatus (hopefully I mistake the meaning of it?). Would really look foreward to William Lerner's (mis)adventures in this world.
That, and because there is not enough good SIOC fanfictions with male OC. (though many female SIOC Fanfiction are good, the amount of drama can become tedious at times)
