The interesting thing is that he finally does seem to have made the case. What's more interesting is that it's probably Lynn Senior that helped him get there because unlike his wife and daughters, he knows what a chess club is and how it might be used to help someone feel as if his life isn't doomed to be spent helping others achieve things while never accomplishing anything himself.

But in all seriousness this was a really great story to read. I kind of wished that the other sisters could have noticed how much mysery Lincoln is going through and the way their mother and father always praising their daughters and their success and the way the sisters rub in Lincoln's face with their new trophies, seems really mean, but I am glad that Luna and Leni were trying their best to be there for their brother. I do kind of wish we could see more of Luna's and Leni's sister/brother bonding with Lincoln in the actual show. :/

A one-shot where Luna and Leni are the main focus but there's no favoritism out of the author, their roles are to show that they are close to Lincoln but Lincoln doesn't play favorites and the rest of the sisters aren't dehumanized freaks?!

Jokes aside, you have no idea how much I enjoyed this follow-up. You did something that many writers who write a "Lincoln wants to measure up to his sisters" story should do or should've done.

Make it so that his sisters are having him question if he really is talented, unintentionally.

The problem with these stories is the sisters normally rub in their achievements in Lincoln no matter how much even the writer of said story admits it's out of character. I was a little hesitant in reading this because these kind of plotlines are written terribly just because the fan who writes it is under the impression Lincoln is an outcast to his family, BUT Luna and Leni(out of bias of course)

But the fact alone you were able to say Lincoln is proud of his sisters and inspires him to do great but still wishes he could follow-up in their achievements is what made this one-shot worthwhile.

While on the topic of Luna and Leni, I can't stand how overrated they've become as "the nicest and closest sisters to Lincoln" despite the fact they all love each other and Lincoln is close to each one of sisters equally like any normal family is. Not only do you write them in-character, but you have them support Lincoln and remind him that his entire family will still love him, since everyone has their shortcomings and it doesn't change how much fondness each one of them has for him.

It's that little attention to detail that's missing in some many "The Loud House" fanfictions as opposed to Luna and Leni outright stating that the rest of the family hates him and they will be there for him despite the show saying they each care about him. My only gripe is I wish this was longer to show how determined Lincoln was to win a trophy. Still a minor problem though. Keep up the great writing! :)
