I'm loving your take on Gabon. Ever since you teased the little bit of sentience in the early chapters, I was curious of how you would protrayal him.

An identity that has grown with every defeat after so many reincarnations. Kind of similar to Ganondwarf from Tale of Two Rulers.

I relate to Revali, because I am also a salty asshole.

Pleasantly surprised to hear that you're continuing this version of the story to the end. While I am really enjoying the revised version, and I look forward to seeing more of that, it'll be good to see the original version of the story conclude without needing to wait until the rewrites catch up.

As for this chapter, I really liked the fight with Thunderblight. I actually hadn't thought about the fact that it could just use Urbosa's Fury to power up until it happened, and the way that they defeat it at the end is pretty creative. The scene with Link and Mipha at the end is also really sweet. Overall another excellent chapter and I look forward to the next one.

Is there gonna be sequels? Because some of the in-universe lore you added implied that there's gonna be more lengthy bits the size of the "Calamity Saga", as I like to call CoaFA version of BotW's story.

Urbosa is ultimate mom. I swear to god lol. I love how much she cares about her ragtag family. It's really touching. Almost as much as I love how fast she changes into a piranha at the first hint of harassment fuel. Always makes me giggle.

Interesting twist that the weaker relationship between Urbosa and Naboris worked as a boon for her here. Also surprising that she actually intended for the others to catch up, that she wanted an early start opposed to trying to keep them out of it. I wasn't expecting that, but it's nice to see that it's not the standard "this is my fight" bullshit. Not that that would be in-character for Urbosa regardless.

Ooo. The message from Zelda and how the scene cuts off with it is haunting. Very nice.

Ha. Revali and Urbosa bantering in the middle of a fight highly likely to kill them both. I see they have learned nothing this entire journey.

Okay but that battle combo was awesome. Excellent work on that fight scene.

Grumpy Mipha makes me giggle. Poor Urbosa. Out of the frying pan and into the Zora-shaped fire.

Final scene was really sweet. Just quiet serenity after all the chaos. Closing sentence in particular was really nice. You've said you're not good with romance but I think you do a fine job.

I was not expecting this to be updated again, but it is happily received. Also not sick anymore! Yay!

Don't you just love how unpredictable inspiration can be? *glances at backlog of unfinished stories and cringes* I'm currently bouncing back and forth between an idea for an Ocarina of Time novelization (third favorite Zelda title) and a Pokemon Special/Adventures fantasy AU. And that isn't even counting the sixteen odd partially written stories in my backlog...or the 50 odd story concepts that I haven't been able to develop further... Point is I get how irritating it can be when you have one idea that get supplanted by another...and then takes on a life of its own so that you end up staring at your screen thinking 'how the heck did I get here?! ...Okay, I can still work with this.' Its times like that when I feel the late great Sir Terry Pratchett was right to describe stories as living things with wants and desires independent of the characters playing out their roles. Okay, I paraphrased that idea heavily, but the meaning is the same...I think. And now I'm rambling. Ending review now before I end up writing a very autistic essay.

In case the next updated chapter is NOT going to be followed up by all the other chapters you are actually okay with (which if I remember right shouldn't be possible because the zora arc shouldn't end in that next update)... *sigh*

I truly apologize for bothering you with this once again, but can I still, somehow, convince you to just leave this bigger original version alone until the revision catches up to it? The FFnet app is by far the most convenient way of reading fics and it works without wi-fi once you download a fic. If you delete this work, the next time the app updates for whatever reason and forces a redownalod, I will never have access to the fic through that app ever again.

I'm sure I'm not the onyl reader you have that will be, somehow, prejudiced by you deleting this without the other work being at the same point in the story... so please. Keep this alive. You don't really benefit ANYONE by deleting this besides maybe youself... but last time we spoke it seems you do have pride in your work, meaning you shouldn't be ashamed enough that you can't BEAR the idea of this version existing anywhere, right?

So please, again, do not delete this. It's easier for everyone this way isn't it?

Especially with that last note. It seems like the update schedule is going to slow down even more, and that only lowers the chances of this work reaching completion... so having an easily-available almost complete version would be nice.

I'm sorry once again, but this is one of the best Zelda fic's I've ever read and the only BotW retelling that actually has LiPha content that doesn't seem dead or is of any significant lenght (previously this was a shared honor with A Fish out of Water), so I like to reread this every once in a while...

Have been reading and reviewing the new fic, so I'm good on the first point.

Considering how long I go between posting stories on this site I really can't complain when other people go on hiatus. Take as much time as you need. If need be I will stand at your back to ward off the pitch forks from any impatient, angry children who happen to be reading your fic. All I ask in return is that you do the same for another writer if you should get the chance.

Merry Christmas to you too and a Happy New Year. Mine...has not been so great because I have a really bad cold. I feel dead... This does not bode well for the coming year... Oh well. At least I have new books to geek out over.

I quite enjoyed this story, so it’s sort of sad to hear that it’s going to be replaced with a rewritten version. But if it’s rewritten version is indeed better than this original one, then I suppose I’ll get over it. Although personally, I’d wait on deleting this version until the rewritten one has caught up to this one.

Ah, but I understand where you're coming from perfectly. I've had to rewrite my fics in the past as well, because that darn brain always comes up with the better stuff AFTER you finish a thing.

You know, I think that's okay. I could do with a refresher after so long, anyways. I look forward to the revised story when it comes. :) Until then!
