God this story deserves so so so much more love. This was incredibly beautiful. I love the idea that Izaya would go to Shizuo in a time of crisis. I love how Shizuo is naturally compelled to want to protect Izaya from anyone other than himself. How dare they hurt HIS Izaya! I love how genuinely sweet Shizuo was about the whole ordeal, how much he tries to talk both himself and Izaya out of it, how they both know everything cannot be the same after, and how Shizuo accepts that fate in order to bring Izaya back. The ending was just perfect! Not overbarelingly sweet or sad, a total Izaya-like move. Thank you so much for this wonderful read! You really captured these two beautifully. I hope to read more from you!

I read this story on a whim but damn, I was hooked. Your writing... so damn beautiful. My heart, of course, went out to Izaya, but even more so for Shizuo. The man really had a tough decision to makewhether or not he should give inand I swear, his pain was felt immensely. Just a solid, gorgeous, heartbreaking story.

Omggg this was so sad and sweet, bittersweet isn't even the word. It's unfitting for the story but I hope Shizuo did eventually beat up whoever hurt Izaya even if he doesn't know it's them. Ahh I'm just glad to know Izaya is better, the ending was everything and more.

Personally, I think Izaya's logic here to forget that ...horrid incident... he went through was, what better way to forget it all by having sex with someone that is such a big factor in your life?
Whether that factor be good or bad. Because either way, that emotional tie just might do better than nothing. Yeah, it most likely won't help because that one bad thing will remain, but even so...
