The idea sounded really good and since I am currently listening to the fifth audio book, I was looking forward to reading this. I can’t go further than the first chapter though, I am sorry. Not Harry but virtually everyone is incredible OOC and it irks me to no end.
This is not to say that your story is shite or anything, far from it. It’s just that it’s not my cup of tea.
Maybe you could put “everyone OOC” into the description instead of “Harry’s a bit OOC” so as not to disappoint others?

Why is everyone in trance as soon as Harry has a conversation with someone?
Wouldn't it make more sense to let another student testify, someone with a relative in a highish position in the ministry for example, rather than Harry whose credibility has been damaged all summer with that Prophet smear campaign?
And then all those one on one private conversations in a room full of people... It's just weird.

You know, it must be the Severitus-like stories I've been reading, but I've seen multiple times that Harry winded up in Snape's company when it would make more sense for his Head of House to be there.
This is the first time I see the opposite happen...: I think it would have made much more sense if Snape with his knowledge of the Dark Arts had met with Pomfrey to talk about blood quill injury treatments, and McGonagall had fetched the other Heads of House...

right dumbles is handling things at the ministry so pretty much he is doing nothing but sit on his ass doing nothing like he has sense before harrys parents where killed.

A very good story. A little short and a good ending. One more chapters to feel in the gaps with what happen to Umbridge would be good. Also what about Quidditch and those decrees was everything removed especilaly with those ridiculus decrees she put forth.
