Wow this is really good!
Zhannell chapter 8 . 6/9/2019
I have been rendered speechless. This was perfect. I think you captured their personality so well. Some fics makes Hyde too mushy or Jackoe too annoying.
Ema14 chapter 8 . 11/18/2018

to-anyone316 chapter 8 . 6/2/2018
damn, this story was soooo good! it was very beautiful and very emotional! i love the idea that soulmates can hear each other's thoughts. the fact that jackie and hyde are both listeners was great, especially when it was revealed that red and kitty are listeners as well. i really like the parallels between the two couples. anyway, this was an amaaaazing story!
TheMelodicEnigma chapter 8 . 9/15/2017
Honestly one of my favorite Jackie/Hyde stories. This was my first one of your stories, but now I'm very interested in going through your others as well. I too am disappointed by the mess of S8, so I've been diving into the fanfiction world to appease that. So far, I'm not disappointed and completely elated! The passion and warm closeness you describe is spot on. Hope to read some more material from you!
Aldrean Treu Peri chapter 8 . 9/6/2017
What an absolutely lovely tale! Even with the fantasy aspect of soulmates with telepathic connections it still felt so fitting into the actual show and era. You captured their connection well :-D
slowhandsclapton chapter 8 . 8/26/2017
I'm a little bit dead after reading this 'cause i'm gonna miss this fanfic a lot. It was fun to read it for the feels trip and how good you keep writing these characters. I was re-reading your first fanfics because of your ficversary and woah, there has been a palpable improvement not only in your english, but your characterization and writing in general (I guess is the narration, the pov, whatever it is, it's great).

This fic is so special. Their feelings for each other are strong since the beginning and they aren't fighting them but trying to not lose what they have, just like that it become better than any other for me. This last chapter only proved that their feelings only grow stronger with time and that they deserve this happy ending.

I live for happy endings! And babys! I loved that they got a baby at the end too. Nice job!
jupiterhyde chapter 8 . 8/24/2017
By all means, I wouldn't mind to read 100 chapters of this wonderful story. It's just so beautiful, it actually makes me sad it has come to an end because I'm not sure when are we getting more of you wonderful imagination...

I love pregnant Jackie! She is the cutest! I love how happy and grateful she is with the girls that recognized her and how she is so happy Hyde was able to hear when she was missing her magazine. It says so much because of how the story starts with none of them knowing what do next and where to go.

This was a journey for us too! I love it!
nannygirl chapter 6 . 8/23/2017
Another very great chapter this was! Skimmed through most of the first half because like you said it was a very M rated chapter but I didn’t want to skip out on reading a chapter of this great fic! And I’m glad I didn’t because even the parts that weren’t extra steamy were a really terrific read!

The conversation they had about her being pregnant was great. I liked how Jackie is so cure that she isn’t pregnant and while Hyde knows to trust her on something concerning her own body he can’t help but think what if and has some questions about it. It was really nice to see how calm and normal they were making this conversation, no fighting or fears coming out. Jackie might not be pregnant or think she is but I think she’s maybe thought about it considering how much she can already look into the future about it, maternity leave, the small apartment, expensive doctor bills being covered by insurance…the thought must have entered her mind before this. I’m glad she’s prepared! Her blaming a bad Eggo she’s been given for breakfast is thought, maybe if she’s had several of them especially. Hyde talking about not minding having kids with her later was really sweet and she agrees, later would be better. And though I think I had been hoping she was pregnant in this, I think I’d be okay if she isn’t too. Not now but hopefully later :D love the way the scene ends with her saying once more that she’s not pregnant—hopefully she’s not jinxing herself!

The flashback to the night they got engaged was so sweet. Hyde thinking about all the things he loved about her, how he loved her and how she made him feel and loved her thoughts that he could hear. The tones she used in her head and how different they were from what everyone else hear and the different curses she said in her mind too lol very funny. It’s sweet that he proposed during the holidays and with those they loved around them. How cuddly and sappy they were was so adorable! Loved how they even snuck down to his old room when Hyde reads her mind about them getting home…maybe because that room was sort of the first kind of home they shared when she used to sleep there with him some years ago.

And the ending of the chapter with Hyde watching her sleep and loving the sight, so cute! Love how happy is and how he’s not afraid to think it! This part was so wonderfully written: “Because he'd done this for himself. Because he loved her and—he really had reached that point—wanted to marry her. No conditions or exchanges, but his own wishes. He had proposed tonight out of want and happiness, his addiction to what they were together.” Love it! As well as that closing image of the two of them asleep together.

Nice job once more! I really enjoyed reading this chapter and look forward to reading more of this story. Hoping to do so again soon! Till then keep up the very good work!
nannygirl chapter 5 . 8/23/2017
Great work on this very great chapter! It was so cute and sweet, I really adored it!

The plant nursey scenes were just so wonderful! I loveloveloveloved the vivid images you painted of all the beautiful sunflowers and Jackie’s clear happiness at being around them. And Hyde’s happiness as seeing her so happy was so sweet. I really liked hearing the story behind the field and how it came to be, those were some nice details. Jackie running around the field and the playfulness she has when she’s around these flowers is such a nice thing to imagine, especially after all she’s been through with the wedding and her mother and now the possibility of being pregnant. None of that worries her now, she’s not thinking of any of it, just her and Hyde and all the beautiful sunflowers.

Love how while Jackie is consumed with the beauty of the flowers, Hyde is captivated by Jackie’s beauty and thinking about her smile was so happy, like it had been before Chicago. The moment when they kiss and have tehri arms around each other, making Hyde realize they would be okay, such a great moment there! And Jackie’s thoughts soon enter Hyde’s mind and she tells him how much she loves him and even not caring too much about him lying about being a listener, still Hyde knows they have to talk about—something very mature for Hyde to realize, especially for someone who wasn’t always one for talking before. Glad to see this. He really does want Jackie to understand why he lied, wants her to know how sorry he is for doing so too. The explanation he told Jackie about why he had lied, explaining how his parents had been, not soulmates, not happy that he had the gift, was so sad, especially because he’s still carried all of that over the years. And then he tells her one of the main reasons he never told her, he wanted her to be with him because she wanted to not because of something the universe was telling them to do—loved that! So Hyde like too! He even talks about the times that he considered telling her the truth, that was nice to learn that there had been times he considered it. And then Jackie reveals something she’s hidden too, she knew Hyde was her soulmate for years, not just because she felt it (like I thought when reading that chapter) but because she knew that was his voice she had heard as a kid! She doesn’t want to talk about how she knew it but I have a feeling that it has something to do with Edna and the last thoughts she had heard from him; it might also be why she kept this to herself, feeling guilty about never saying anything back the, maybe? “"I love you," she said against his chest, and he kissed her forehead. "I don't need God to tell me that." That was good to know.”—That was such a sweet way to end that scene.

The next scene was so playful and sweet, I loved it! It makes me smile so much seeing how happy and carefree these two are in the field of flowers. The chasing he does of her and spinning around so cute! Then their kiss that gets interrupted by onlookers lol that was great! Very funny and also nice that it was done with light heartedness and not one judging or them getting in trouble. Their interaction with the older man was really nice too. He was a great and friendly character, I thought he could be related to the woman who the field was made for too! It really is such a nice place and I’m so glad that Jackie and even Hyde think so too!

Good job once again! I so enjoyed reading it. I’m really looking forward to reading more and I hope to do so again very soon! Till then keep up the great work!

nannygirl chapter 3 . 8/23/2017
Another terrific chapter this was! Maybe my favorite so far!

The first flashback scene with Jackie in the wedding dress that Pam found for her was so heartbreaking to read. I could imagine the scene very clearly and the forced happiness Jackie had to put on was so sad, but it was Pam’s extra bubbly behavior that made me more upset. Everyone else could see how Jackie disliked the dress except her, she was too busy thinking that it was romantic that she had bought the dress for Jackie. Really Pam? Jackie’s dislike for the dress was really well written and I liked how even early on then Jackie was starting to have second thoughts about not marrying Hyde but having this wedding of her mother’s, since already Pam was taking it over.

Loved the scene back in the present time though. It was a little more happier with excitement of the plant nursey coming up and seeing the hotel—and sunflowers! Yay! Love how excited Jackie was and even Hyde was impressed by the hotel. Some really great details and descriptions on that part! The hotel sounded so fancy, I’m so glad that they found the place to sort of take their mind of things and it’s especially cheered Jackie up! Great moment where she pouted, waiting to get him to agree to getting a room—it still works! Lol

The part with them in the hotel room was so wonderfully sweet. I liked how we got to read about Jackie’s thoughts on the soulmate thing and how even though she meant what she said about wanting to be with him even if they weren’t weren’t soulmates, it made her feel less worried that he had some other soulmate out there now that she knew he could hear her thoughts and that they were soulmates. This line here was so great: “Being here with him, in the hotel, was making her feel like she'd done the right thing. He just needed to know why.” -aww! And I just LOVED the exchange about Jackie’s wedding dress and her having him bring it down because he was sure she wanted to destroy it. His guesses about what to do with the dress were funny and I liked how even Jackie agreed with the thought of one of them lol Do wonder what she has planned for the dress…don’t think it’ll be something Pam will approve of, but I don’t think that will matter very much to anyone lol And as sweet and funny as the moment was, it takes a more serious turn when Hyde brings up the latest thoughts he heard from her that morning about her hoping she wasn’t pregnant. The possibility of her being pregnant was very much like the elephant in the room and I’m glad that they finally addressed it. Taking the time to talk about it and what they thought, felt about the possibility I think shows how mature they’ve become, which was nice to see. Still not sure if Jackie is pregnant or not, it really does sound like she could be but I can’t help wondering if you’ve got a spin for us coming up, so I’m not making any official guesses yet! And just like I mentioned it was ncie to see that Hyde and Jackie have matured, it’s snice to see that they’d realized they have too, recalling the past about how they’d once said they would have gotten married only if he’d gotten her pregnant and Hyde admitting how much of a jerk he’d been was nice to see. Loved this exchange here too: “The mention of what their honeymoon would had been almost made her choke on her own breathing, but instead she closed her eyes and sighed. "I'm very sorry, baby." "Hey," he said, and she opened her eyes and saw him leaning closer to her. "Here is nice, too."—So sweet and cute! I like how Jackie’s apology carries over to then end of the scene too where she says she’s sorry for some of the other things that has happened over the last few days and Hyde just hold on to her. Very sweet.

Oh my goodness, the last scene of the chapter was totally not one I was expecting, but holy cow…Wow! At first I wasn’t sure where Jackie was and the doctor thing made me think it had been something medical wise but it turns out it’s part of the thought blocking lessons were learned about in the previous chapter. I wondered why Jackie had gotten those lessons, thought it had been to keep her from getting distracted or something but finding out the real reason was just so heartbreaking. She had heard Hyde’s thoughts and even felt some of what he felt when he was worrying about Edna and then when she got home and found him….it was like she had experienced everything he had. The crying and pushing Pam away, no wonder Jack wanted her to get this kind of help. Poor Jackie, poor Hyde…the part where Jackie is talking about her soulmate and what she does know about him and his parents just broke my heart for Hyde having to go through that and Jackie listening to it all. It’s even sadder that after this time Jackie no longer heard her soulmates thoughts, it really must have filled her with all kinds of worry too

Great job once more! I really liked reading it, I’m looking forward to reading more chapter and hope to do so again very soon. Till then keep up the nice work!
MistyMountainHop chapter 8 . 8/22/2017
I looooooooooooooooooooooooove this (and the whole story). Your writing voice is so unique and lovely. The characters are themselves, but they’re filtered through your imagination and imagery, creating something new.

The sunflowers flashback: Jackie and Hyde finding a sunflower nursery in the place they fled to after their no-go wedding – it must’ve been like a cosmic sign to them. And Jackie thinking about all the things that add up to her happiness and realizing they’re “not her” is a foreshadow to her (first) wedding to Hyde and how it wasn’t her, either. The first part of this epilogue is clever and ripples back through the rest of the story.

Jackie and Hyde in Grooves is adorable. I adore how Jackie talks and hums to the baby growing inside her, and Hyde’s thoughts about Jackie are LOVE. We learn enough about their lives to know they’re in a good place with each other, their friendships, and their careers.

I also really like Hyde’s nostalgia for his and Jackie’s first summer together and how it connects to the present. How the flashback in this chapter connects to *that* and so on. You are so good at weaving different elements together to create a beautiful whole. Your fics truly are tapestries.

This is one of those stories that makes me want to write more J/H fanfic. It’s inspiring.

Some of my favorite lines:

[Sitting on the spool table was another bouquet of sunflowers with a pink ribbon keeping it together. It was smaller than the one in the kitchen, but she knew what the flowers meant and who had put them there.

"'Morning, Grasshopper."]

["Those are yours," he said. A magazine was in his hands, and he turned one of the pages. "And don't make a fuss. I'm just keeping my word."

She couldn't help but smile. He'd started to grow a beard. He was the only one of their friends whose facial hair wasn't disgusting, and it made him seem older and more manly. Like a grown up, especially with his scowl, sideburns, sunglasses, and big car.]

["Yeah, well…" He sighed. It sounded like relief, and her heart jumped inside her chest. "You did beat me pretty good, man. It was badass."

Her smile widened. "Thank you," she said again and held the flowers to her chest. She leaned her back against the couch with her eyes closed, and she and Steven fell into silence. It wasn't awkward or unbearable. It was just silence.]

["You better not go around saying I gave you those," he said.

She flipped her hair over her shoulder. "As if someone would actually believe me."]

[She almost jumped from the couch. Usually, she would've had an answer for that. Of course she was happy. She had everything: rich parents, rich life, great clothes and hair, a gorgeous boyfriend, and a spot at the cheer squad.

But none of it was her.

The money belonged to her parents, to her father who was rarely home and ignored her whenever he was home. And to her mother, who'd left work and dedicated her life to make Jackie's impossible and to drinking as much as she could.]

["Well," She said, "I think I'm getting there. I wanna get there, you know?"]

[Hyde laughed a little into Jackie's shoulder.]

[Hyde left them to their conversation, giving them space. But he watched the surveillance monitor as the girls and Jackie chatted about her variety show, their favorite segments and what-not. This didn't happen as often as he felt it did, but seeing her deal with people who recognized her and valued her work was quite a sight.]

[She would never admit it, but working made her proud. Usually, she'd say she did it for the attention, but Hyde knew better.

Her mind kept repeating her thanks to the girls, who were now asking about her pregnancy.]

[Her hair was longer than he remember it ever being. She'd let it grow after their wedding, ten months ago, and it was almost at her waist, wavy and shiny. Her skin was softer, her face clean. The pregnancy had settled perfectly in her, and he understood why Brooke and Laurie almost hated her for that.

Of course, her growing hunger and sudden mood changes were a bit of a nightmare. But Brooke and Laurie didn't need to know that.]

["I love you, too." He kissed her forehead and she giggled. "Now, go sit down for a bit."

"But—" She pouted, fingers caressing his chest as if it were a kitten. "People love me here."

"Yeah, well, until we find a chair comfortable enough for you, I would love you to be over there…"

He turned her around gently and directed her to the store's listening pit. His idea was still a damn good one. Everyone liked it. "And sit for a while."]

["Oh, no! I left my magazine!"

He arched an eyebrow, and his shoulders tensed. Her need was loud and clear, and brought the damn thing to her.

"Why did I hear that?" he said. "How could leaving a magazine on the counter be worth an extra thought inside my head?"

She blinked a couple of times and took the magazine from his hands. "You heard that?" she said. He nodded, and she blushed again. "Well … that's because I'm always happy with you, Puddin' Pop."

That long summer when they were younger came to mind.]
jugheadandrews chapter 8 . 8/22/2017
This chapter is so sweet, I don't even care it was way shorter than the others. I loved the flashback and present time, both show how much they love each other and it also helps us see in the present how much they have changed and how far they have gotten. They needed to leave their first wedding and have that trip to fix their relationship and trust each other deeply, and finally be truly happy together.

Jackie pregnant is so cute, that's such an adorable image :') Thank you for this beauty!
