I’m really enjoying this story, I love how I have no idea which direction it will grow in. And the Naruto of this story makes sense for a child who grows up hated the thirst for finding out why he’s hated is logical. And the understanding and the want to not be like everyone else In the village who judges a book by its cover, he opens the book and finds out what’s it about and judges it for its content...

Apologies it took me so long to review. My life is in a bit of an upheaval at the moment due to some rather unfortunate issues effecting my family and myself. Given that and my apathy toward the Naruto/Boruto series after the authors made so many stupid twists, i’m not sure i’m going to be writing my fanfics any time soon if ever.

As for the update, it was very good. I’m surprised I never got a notification for the chapter update but then again I might have gotten it and just been to busy to notice. Honestly I don’t believe there are any issues with it, but then again I haven’t read this story in so long I might have missed something.

These are some pretty generic nicknames have been around for quite awhile.

These are the correct words that SHOULD be used in an English language story. You need to drop all the Japanese suffixes. I don’t know why these suffixes became so widely used but it needs to stop. It takes away from your story because English speakers don’t speak using Japanese suffixes so reading them in the English language just makes everything sound weird and just flat stupid. Just read your dialogue out loud to hear how it sounds.

Just imagine if someone started using Japanese suffixes in a normal everyday English conversation. Your first thought would be why is this person using those suffixes when we are speaking English. Second, you would think that person was an idiot or mentally disturbed. Finally, you wouldn’t take anything that person said seriously. ( Obviously, this pertains to native English speakers. A native Japanese speaker having a conversation with a native English speaker is a different matter. However, that is only if the native Japanese speaker isn’t fluent in English. If they are fluent you can bet your ass they aren’t using Japanese suffixes. )

This has nothing to do with the suffixes themselves. Using them in Japanese language stories would be fundamental because those suffixes are part of the spoken Japanese language and not using them would cause confusion and irritation for native Japanese speakers. Just as using them in English language stories is confusing, irritating, and stupid.

(The above is a copy and paste because the amount of stories that use these suffixes is sadly very, very large. )

Certainly one interesting way of telling the story and an intriguing premise overall. Can't say that this is one of my favorites, but this is certainly unique and interesting. Keep up the good work.

What is the current status of Root? Hiruzen just openly referenced it among civilian council members and presumably the clan heads as well. That seems wildly inconsistent with a shadowy black-ops division that should be classified to hell and back.

The story’s been an excellent experience thus far. It’s fascinating to see how the plot develops given Naruto’s much higher awareness and perception than his canon self. Combined with the complete unknown factor of immense age and powers, it’ll be a treat to continue reading this story. However, I’m concerned with how consistent logic and the ninja will be in the face of Naruto’s pending powers and observable changes. For instance, Itachi’s report of a shadowy unknown factor over “Naruto’sObscuro’s) chakra system should presumably be of S-rank importance to the village. In light of that, rather than immediately have Itachi, an expert medic, and even a Hyuuga look over Naruto after immediately retrieval, Sarutobi just lets Naruto stay there for the time being. And since Naruto himself will undoubtably be seen again by Sarutobi and Itachi, how can the shadowy aura be explained away?

Eerie... I can't help but wonder if Naruto isnt a bit too accepting and trusting of Obscuro; It's not exactly a benevolent creature.

Nice chapter another glimpse at Obscuro's past, my guess is whatever is watching them meant to break the alliance held between Naruto and Obscuro with this display. I wonder what it's next move will be.

I see you're rolling with my suggestion and, personally, I think it's already elevated Obscuro as a character. He's got something unique to him now rather than being just another arrogant, murderous demon. Also gives him something to do rather than be Naruto's teacher and personal encyclopedia for the arcane arts.

The flashback scene was fun, especially for a gorehound like me. It didn't tell us anything about Obscuro that we didn't already know, but it's still nice to *show* the readers what he's all about rather than just telling us of his past escapades.

Keep up the good work, and keep thinking of ways to separate your story from the herd.
