I think this is a fantastically written story with amazing new ideas that I've only dreamed of! I absolutely love the changes you made to the world and oh man, that character development? Beautiful. I love this story. Hands down, would read at least 300k more please. And I've been reading hp fic since 2009. How do I always wind up back here? I don't know, but somehow this fic was refreshing. And as someone who has issues with emotional numbness, is this a problem caused by long-term childhood depression? It seems familiar and fitting to the abuse he's suffered, not to mention the extreme social distancing.
I actually adore Ginny in your perspective, not the norm. I love how the bond was actually so realistically concerning! Usually it's glossed over and so fake, but your rendition of the trope makes it seem new. 10/10 please write more, whenever you have the time and motivation.

Just once I’d like for someone just once to do a George Carlin with the seven naughty words and yell them in hermione face and tell her to get the fuck over herself. Every time. Someone is stressed or in a life or death situation and the author has to be fucking retarded and have her correct language. Really? How about you go play hide and go fuck yourself. I know it has been almost a yr since an update but the last line of this chapter makes it sounds like Ginny is a squib. Did I miss something?

I really don't think Hermione in Hufflepuff makes any sense at all. Especially after begging the sorting hat to place her in Gryffindor and it just ignored her. Hermione was a hat stall because she was bound for Ravenclaw, but fought to be placed in Gryffindor instead. I also really hate black Hermione... Like what's up with that just because she had busy hair? It may never have been stated in the series, but it likely would have been expressed if her skin was anything but white. Plus, with Emma Watson portraying Hermione in the movies, it's very hard to get around an ingrained mental picture of what she should look like. For me, it makes the story seem outlandish and annoying. I'm disappointed because you really do write well and have a great story idea. There were just some things that rubbed me the wrong way so intently that I cannot accept reading any further. Good luck!

You said you'd go through the first couple years fairly quickly, 10chapters I admit is slightly quicker than expected, but not when the chapters are like 13k words each and on top of that you don't have more out

Binge read this, after finding it. Picturing them as fifth / fourth years with some of conversations, but seeing some of the elven year olds at times. Will be interesting to see how the addition of Ginny affects any more romantic interactions, but that may be a few years away. Does Ron have the diary now ?
