First off, this fanfic was awesome! Seriously, I couldn't stop reading it once I started. Also, yeah, magic corruption, that's totally where my mind went when I read dark purple, and I wasn't in any way thinking about Star's Mewberty and thinking that she'd come into some sort of magical heat cycle and that she and Marco were about to get really, really close...I've got to stop rushing my ships. But in all seriousness, this was a lot of fun.

Its funny how far Tom manages to come by the end of Season 3 when compared to his Season 1 characterization here.

this was a great story. one optional change would be to make the last part an epilogue in a new chapter

You know what I just realized? I forgot to review. I wasn't sure what to say and eventually it slipped my mind.
I'll just make it simple: this was excellent. And that ending really got me excited for your sequel. Onto said sequel.

I don't think I've ever read anything not containing death or suicidal thoughts that could make me cry like I just did.

The last two chapters were very emotional, executed perfectly. The whole entire exchange and awkwardness was cute! I can't wait for the sequel!
