I know you said not to wait for more chapters, but I'd love to see where this would go. Schneizel is one of my favorite characters, and I thought that he and Lelouch would do well on one side.
And this is a beautiful scene, I could really see it happening.

I hope you would write a sequel from this AU sometimes.

Feel like I haven't read a good CG fanfic in such a loooonnnmg time. I just loved the interactions of the characters here.

Ahaha, I expecially love Rivalz POV. I'm just imagining him sitting alone in a room with those nobles now wonding what Lelouch and Schnisel could possibly talking about.
The world needs more Rivalz. He's a slightly bland character, but in my mind that just gives him potential in fanfiction. You even gave him character development when you mentioned him growing up and stuff! I've seen so far only about 3 fanfic writers have thought give Rivalz any characted development at all. He's also very good for showing things as the average person would see it.

Really love Schnisel's thoughts. He thinks a lot like Lelouch. I think it would be so interesting to have a fic where they work together but if there is one it's in the back of one of those 400k "joins the royal family" fanfics that always feel afflicted with a horrible dryness that you wouldn't expect.

The thoughts that all the charaters have are complex, but it's so interesting and easy to follow.
10/10 writing. I read every word and I usually have a skimming problem. Every word in this feels meaningful though.

I love family stories. I love brotherly bonding stories. I dive at any fic that suggest Schneizel and Lelouch not going to be antagonizing one another. This was a premise I've been wanting to see come to life for a long-long time. And it's finally here!

You've kept Schneizel in-character while being brotherly. You've also managed to let Lelouch open up a teeny bit. Let's face it, if they didn't find themselves on opposite sides of the board, they'd be unbeatable! Suzaku optional.

And Rivalz got serious screen time! God knows how many times I totally forgot about him in my fics XD

That being said, my only nitpick would be how Schneizel got wind of the mysterious chess player. Rivalz said so: nobles pay up because of their pride. Pride usually makes people go out of their way to keep their humiliations under wraps, so it's doubtful a group of nobles who suffered humiliating losses to Lelouch would form a club, much less complain to the Prime Minister.

Maybe if it were the servants of said nobles gossiping, Kanon hearing about it then relaying it to Schneizel before interrogating one of said loser nobles, it would have fit better in my opinion.

If you have any more Schneizel-Lulu hidden somewhere, I hope you post 'em too :3

That was a really interesting premise, it's a shame you're not going to continue it. I admit I was sceptical at first- there are so many fics where Lelouch is discovered during one of his chess matches- but you managed to stay original. It's also a plus that it was Schneizel and not Clovis. I can envision Lelouch trying to stay angry and suspicious of his brother but eventually giving in to his efforts to become close again (whether genuine or not).
Oh well, thank for that piece.

Very well written chapter. I'd had the same idea for months but wasn't sure how I would go about writing it so seeing this so well done was quite nice. I really hope you continue this story.

Not a bad story. Schneizel is very much in character, even with that unusual show of physical affection and an actually apology leaving his lips at the end. This is a good story and the open-ended ending was well done as well. Good job.

This is a very interesting idea. I can even see Schneizel's curiosity getting the better of him after being complained to far too often by his connections. I'm certain he would find a teenager soundly defeating so many nobles interesting. Despite his better judgement.

Hey, it's truly an amazing scene, and while I would be happy if it continue I think it is also wonderful that it stays just like that.
Anyway, I truly love Scheizel, he is like "that not so evil brother who is still a little shit" and I can truly see him like this, and lulu is always lulu.
