An interesting chapter, with a fascinating twist towards the end. I wished there weren't quite as many godly interventions, but in general, I really liked the way the story turned out!

It felt as if it was heading for the end at times, but I'm glad it hasn't come that far yet. Sad and emotional chapter, well done!

I realy love what you made of this chapter, even though it ends on such a sad note. Especially the battle was well-written, even though I can't help but point out that "Fire at will" is a term introduced with the invention of firearms...

Finally remembered that I still had one more chapter to catch up to... stupid me for forgetting.

I really liked the update, as it brought all storylines well forward, only I'm not sure how any conversation between a freshly married couple on their wedding night could turn to such dark matters... otherwise great chapter!

This is definitely a great chapter - it's fairly realistic to see Rollo worried about his people's bad luck, although I am not sure if they would take it well if he drowned in self pity like this. Anyway, great update!

Poor Wilfried, somehow I aslways suspected it would end like this. The only thing that I'm uncertain is whether it would this easy (or even possible) to escape from the faroe islands to norway in a one-man fishing boat. But otherwise, great chapter!

On the other hand, I feel like Ragnhild's plan could never work in real life, so I'm excite to see how it plays out.

Well, definitely a slower pace, although it is good to get some additional background information. On the other hand, the different plotlines in this chapter are a tad confusing to me - nevertheless a good chapter!

I am not a big fan of Rollo/Gisla. Knowing the truth about their marriage (epic failure: no children, no love, cheating rumors) almost ruined this pairing for me.

I took a look at your previous works. It seems you like history like me. I promise I will review them. And, of course, finish reading this story.

I know how you feel. There is nothing more disheartening for a writer than lack of feedback. One works hard, edits carefully, publishes ... and hardly gets acknowledged. Awful. I think 90% of writers (fanfiction or not) go through this. It happens to me a lot.

We're in a tiny fandom, so is the pool of potential readers. Lots of lurkers who read through mobile viewing and it does not encourage reviews. Many readers only review writers they know/follow...

Popularity doesn't always match quality. I've lost count of how many times I've seen good stories abandoned for lack of appreciation. And poorly written stories that get tons of reviews/favorites/faves. This fandom is no exception.

Keep writing. I hope to see a new chapter soon.

Admittedly, it may seem as if I'm the only one left to read this, but I really enjoy this storyline (and your writing style). At first I was going to say it's a nice chapter even though little happens, but then you pulled a battle scene like this out of the sleeve. Since I've written quite a bit of battle scenes myself (and I consider myself fairly good at them, if I do say so myself) I can say with confidence, this is one of the best ones!
Finally, I guess you're suffering from the same problem any sequel has - if people don't bother with reading the first part (or don't like it much), they will not continue to read the econd one, because they don't understand the circumstances this AU is based on.

Definitely better than the previous one, in fact probably one of the best chapters in a while!

Not my favorite chapter to be honest - there are simply too many new characters to keep track of...
