Em chapter 2 . 7/20
I don't know how I just found this, because I thought I knew every one of your Addek fics inside out. This is beyond brilliant, and how we all wish it had happened, sigh. In another world, Derek really would have considered coming back and fixing things, I really think so. Love this!

This was great! Yea... I wish this happen they are perfect for each other
DeniseSB chapter 2 . 9/4/2017
sigh I wish I could say I like this one 'cos I've enjoyed your other work. But Derek's reaction to Maddison was so vivid, so decisive on the actual show that I'd need more than a meandering, stream of consciousness "I guess so" on Derek's part to make the prospect of reconciliation believable. Maybe I'd feel better about it if I were an Addek fan, but there's no wishful thinking on my part to bridge the gap.

I do think you wrote Chapter One very well in terms of capturing Addison's consciousness. I wonder if IRL (if the show can be considered "real life" in relation to fanfic) if the Maddison affair started before the night Derek walked in on them or thereafter. I do think that whenever the affair began, Addison would have wrestled with the temptation to tell Derek (if she wasn't found out immediately) since the reason for the affair (according to Addison when she first arrived in Seattle) was to get Derek's attention.

Luvaddek chapter 2 . 6/29/2017
This was amazing especially the last part. Thanks for writing and sharing. I need some Addek fluff. I am eagerly waiting for update on your other stories.
winter machine chapter 2 . 6/29/2017
Ooh, I really liked this chapter. Painful but beautiful. Which is pretty much the Addek motto, come to think of it.
xxLittle Black Dressxx chapter 2 . 6/29/2017
You are the master of capturing Addison and Derek's inner turmoil. Both chapters were amazing. And I loved the hopeful but still very open-ended ending - it fits with the story so perfectly!
Mary Rose chapter 2 . 6/29/2017
Aw! That's it? I liked it so I would have wished it to be longer. But I'll take it.
Msmiumiu chapter 2 . 6/29/2017
That was amazing! It's since you've published the first chapter that I promised to read the story, and finally tonight I found the time to do it.
I'm happy that Winter has suggested you this prompt; you write Addison sooo well, and this is a perfect example of it! It was unbelievably beautiful.
It's a shame that on the show Derek is a coward who prefers to run away in Seattle rather than stay in New York and wonder why all this has happened. Escape is never a solution.
Anyway, this story is incredibly sad and beautiful and heartbreaking. I think you've done a great job with it. Brava!
Xyliette chapter 2 . 6/29/2017
Oh how I wish this would have happened too! It was nice to see Derek's perspective here, which is hard because we mostly just want to throat punch him and tell him to shut up. I never believed he was dense enough to have the affair be the total shocker that his marriage was over. But it did make it a whole lot easier to shove away any responsibility he had for it failing. Are you sure it's over? Because I'd like to see the next morning!
mandyg67 chapter 2 . 6/29/2017
Nice chapter. How is Derek going to get back in if he doesn't have his keys? Will he get them back from the man he gave them to?
Guest chapter 2 . 6/29/2017
So good!
Birdieq chapter 2 . 6/29/2017
Okay, why you gotta make me cry at work? Love, love, love. Why stop now?
Addison-fan chapter 2 . 6/29/2017
I wish it have happened in the show. I know that cheating on your spouse is very bad, but I still believe in second chances. If one is cheating, maybe they should sit and talk. All their issues must be put in the table and discussed. Then, if anything could be done, they should divorce. But walk away without one word, without a glance back. Leave all behind. That is childish.

Great chapter. Loved Derek's reaction. How he saw Addison in every place, in every corner. And loved the end... a little ray of hope in a dark moment. Thank you.
