3 chapters and I was hooked from the first line. You have amazing talent. I actually finally watched HMC recently and I just had to see if there were any good fanfics out there, and sure enough, I find this one. It says last updated in 2017 but that's okay, I'm here to encourage you to continue if your story hasn't been abandoned... It really is lovely.

I recently re-watched this movie, and it left me wondering if there might be fanfiction about it (as I didn't even know fanfiction existed the first time I watched it) and I have to say this is the best Howl/Sophie fic I've read so far. There characters are very well-written and I can imagine them as I saw them in the movie (though I haven't read the book you talked about, that might be something to look into now).
You were very effective in making me want to know what happens with the Witch of the Waste, Sophie's step-family and also when you mentioned Sophie willing the garden door to appear in a different place, strengthening the suggestion that she is a witch - what with Howl talking about her having a specialness about her (originally I thought that was in a non-magical sense (more romantic) but knew I'm not so sure) - and also making me wonder if that was how Calcifer was drawn to her.
Anyway I also want to tell you - Thank you and I was very happy to see this was updated this year, so perhaps there will be another chapter coming. I hope so anyway.

So far, I'm really enjoying this story and I can't wait to see what you do with it Update soon!
