MyNameIsJeffNImLost chapter 6 . 7/9/2019 That was a very interesting story, seeing the how the backstory would evolve differently with the quantum reality 1-minute reboot instead of a computer in the brain. I liked how Chuck made himself part of different people's lives. The multiple meet-cutes was fun, and it was a good twist to give Sarah a techie reason to remember Chuck. |
JKArcanus chapter 1 . 4/14/2018 This extraordinary so far...and heartbreaking. |
Guest chapter 6 . 8/10/2017 good story so far. Keep up the good work. Cheers Tshadow |
atcDave chapter 6 . 7/26/2017 Well, I have to admit I waited until you were done on this one, the set up made me a little nervous! But it was really fun. A couple times I wasn't sure how much to buy into Ellie, Morgan and Bryce having to relearn their roles continuously. Although I really liked the simple explanation for Morgan, a simple mind is adaptable! It was a little odd with Sarah in love with Bryce/Chuck. But ultimately her story is most satisfying. The interesting thing to think over is how this effect Chuck's personality long term. He's used to being insignificant, but also not having to face consequences. That could make for some interesting problems. |
James Mowery chapter 6 . 7/26/2017 Well...what about that wasn't fun!? Answer: NOTHING! Throughout this story thank you for a wonderful, realistic and warm portrait of Sarah. She's comfortable not just in her own skin but in her own head as well. She deals mater of factly with her personal tragedies without a lot of woe is me internal carping and no excuse making. That characteristic along with giving her the preferences, personal dispositions, and quirks of a real person casually expressed in her internal dialog gives breath and movement to this key character. You don't say that Sarah is strong, or smart or tragic you reveal these things through her words and actions. Very well done indeed. The part of this I liked the best was the way you used Bryce as a frosted glass door. When she can't see and remember Chuck she does remember how she felt about him, it is just that these feelings settle onto the person she can remember, Bryce. She sees the mental door labeled with his name and through the frosted glass of quantum memory distortion she thinks the tall, dark figure is Bryce. So he is wreathed in golden loving memory until the door opens and she sees reality clearly. This way Bryce, who is never so loved as when he is absent, acquires a portion of Chuck's curse as though it was a secondary infection. The whole concept of Sarah's emotional memory of Chuck is the most subtle and poignant exposition of the show's central romantic revelation I've read to date, that for all the surface differences they are the obverse and reverse of the same coin. This telling shares the same longing of the of the main characters for an emotional connection but in this instance they are separated by memory and honor rather than rules and self doubt. Very original concept and brilliant execution! I can't wait for the conclusion. |
wilf21 chapter 6 . 7/26/2017 A very enjoyable final chapter thank you. I'm not sure if the laser will put Chuck back into our reality or will just allow him to link with specific people. Thank you so much for writing this and keeping Chuck alive, so to speak. |
Deathzbreath chapter 6 . 7/25/2017 I've really enjoyed this story and have to say I'm sad to see it end. I like the portable laser that they can use so some people can remember him as well as how Sarah had documented the boy that caught her eye only to find out years later it was the man that she had fallen in love with. Awesome! That last line...perhaps their parents did disappear? Will there be anything in the epilogue or are you planning on another story? Just curious. :) Thanks for an awesome read! |

sevenrez chapter 6 . 7/25/2017 Of course I loved this chapter. Sarah remembers Chuck and tells him she loves him. Interesting idea to also extend Chuck's problem to his parents. Thank you for a great story! |

wilf21 chapter 5 . 7/19/2017 So, can Sarah now remember him? And/or has Sarah perhaps been affected by the same syndrome since the laser scene? Looking forward to finding out. |
sevenrez chapter 5 . 7/18/2017 I thought Black Hole Sun was a Chris Cornell shout out. I hope to get an update soon so we are not hanging to long from your cliffhanger! Thank you. |
