This seems a bit rushed to me, why would a gym leader so readily abandon their gym to travel with a stranger that they have had all of maybe 2 conversations with and known for less than a day? Other than that though the grammar is good I like the idea of an aura wielding ash and I love the fact he has a Gyarados so early on. I just hope this version of aura is reasonable, for some reason authors like to either make aura entirely useless or so strong that ash can one punch a pissed off Tyranitar there's no in between lol. Keep up the great work I look forward to reading the rest of this fic :)

And had an Idea that after the gym battle Ash and Brock briefly run into our characters again but with Phoenix having an injured arm and they are at the Pokemon Center getting their pokemon healed and of course Phoenix's arm patched (Aka Raven is using her healing aura) and they actually go their separate ways after leaving Cinnabar.
Another thing...MR. lets him play Fire Emblem it's a good game...don't hold the Switch hostage I mean come on Cazzidy and Carly have a World of Warships addiction going on now.
