This was a great one shot. I think the lack of the guardian in season 5 was my biggest problem with the ending. I've been looking for some ideas on how they could have tied the guardian into the ending and I had an idea similar to yours. Hope you decide to expand on this someday.

Wow. This was a really good, effective piece imagining the Guardian's last moments. You really captured the voices of the characters here - Guardian, Aku, even the freaking time portal!
The Guardian was an awesome character from the classic show, and I really enjoyed this look into how he went out. Great work!

This is an ingenious piece of work. Even if this one-shot were all there was to this story, it'd still be a wonderful work of fiction. You've totally captured the spirit of Aku, the Guardian, and the show as a whole, and I couldn't be more impressed. I'm definitely telling all my friends about this wonderful hidden gem.

Damn. What a foreshadowing. I'm glad you wrote this. It really puts things into perspective. I wish we could have seen more of the Guardian during season 5. This was a great way of portraying one of the awesomest characters on Samurai Jack. Great work!
