Oh my gosh, this was so well written. You described Brick's pain so well and wrote Blossom's character good, like, oh my gosh thank you so much for this story!

I know that I already gushed about it tones - but now I get to do it on here, so here we go!

WOW. Just WOW. This was incredible. This world that you are fleshing out is everything - you're really exploring a "what-if" situation and this is something that I could honestly see happening in a different world!

You can tell the Red's feel so much pain during their talk, just neither are really willing to face it - and it's that underlying pain that makes to so hard to read.
Brick knows full well what could happen to Blossom and her sisters if they meet with HIM face to face - after all, he knows what the lobster is capable of better than anyone - but Blossom, being the hero that she is, only want's a chance at peace and is willing to sacrifice herself so that he city can live. (even though, deep down she knows things won't go as smoothly as that)

That heart wrenching sadness that Brick feels as he holds her that last night is

AND OH GOD BUTCH - OUR BABY - HE SAW. HE SAW EVERYTHING. and to be the one to inform his brother about what happened... that had to be the most difficult thing he's ever done in his life... oh god the pain he himself must be in... ah god, my shriveled up heart aches for him here!
(I mean that's not saying much since my heart aches for all of them here, but you know what I mean!)

and Brick's rage at the end... I have no doubt that he will indeed go "kick some lobster ass", but he would really rather not... because it means that the Puff's have fallen... and that was the worst possible outcome.

Regardless, I know that their death's will not go unavenged...

Good lord, this was beautiful, heart-wrenching but beautiful and you should be so please with yourself for this! It was an absolute masterpiece!

(Now I have to prepare myself for the Greens and hope I don't melt into a puddle of tears!) Amazing job my dear!

The story is good, but since it has the copied lyrics of "When We Were Young", it breaks the following part of the Content Guidelines:

Dear God... dear god my heart- oh it was wrenching but oh it was so good- I teared up- I genuinely was swallowing tears- this was beautiful/ this whole universe is devastating but beautiful.

Brick's utter desperation- subtle as it was was like a stab to the gut- it was lyrical and raw and real- Blossom's absolute terror no matter how much she tried to hide it and her sense of despair- being weighed by the grim knowledge of her inescapable fate and finding no other words but that from one of the most beautiful classic novels ever written ( though I am horribly biased of course- Miss Bronte being my favorite author of all time and all ) - but just... this was just awesome. The most literal sense of the word- awe and then some. Their final moments together and then him just clinging to his promise until the bitter end... and the symbolism of him burning that cabin to the ground... finally showing the world his secret in a way- and then leading his brothers into one final showdown in her name- will they survive? Who knows- but he's going to honor his promise to the bitter end...

Take a bow. Do a curtsy- heck do a mix of the two because you've earned it! This was stunnng. A true guy wrencher in a small package. This is definitely I think one of my top Reds one shots on this site - it was just wonderful and thank you so much for sharing this with us!

Oh my! Where do I even start? There aren't enough words in this world to express my love for this story. So I'm just going to say this; I ABSOLUTELY FUCKING LOVE THIS STORY OMG I CANT EVEN LIKE WHAT THE HELL?! ARE YOU LIKE GOD OR SOMETHING?! I'm very sorry about the cussing. I actually NEVER cuss when I talk but that's how much I ADORE this story. And the emotion/mood of the story? SO. FUCKING. PERFECT. OH. MY. GOD. I was SO close to crying literally and I NEVER cry. The emotions were described beautifully and I felt it building up in my heart. You are SO amazing! I wish I'm just like you! I seriously would LOVE for this to be published! There are no words to describe how beautiful this is. This is so perfectly written! You did an amazing job at describing Brick's feelings .I still have tears in my eyes while writing this review. It seriously broke my heart. In way a Monster could write such a beautiful piece! It shows the cruelties and difficulties of life, the emotions...I think I'm going to go back and read it again. Brilliant job!

Babe, I absolutely adore this. Thank you so much for writing it! It's oddly perfect; I feel for him, I honestly do. It's sad but ... omg its sad but you wrote it so perfect. He'd be bawling his eyes out and dammit, this gave me some serious feels. I love how you set the tone whole story. It was a like a premonition; one you wished you could stop, but then you learn to accept it and try to make the best of it.
I don't think you're a monster; I think you're brilliant. It's okay if there's a bit of heartache here because there will always be a story where good things happen to them. I feel for him, but I'm glad I read it because It's nice to read something out of the ordinary, to remember that this is life, and shitty things happen but we still make the best of it, and for what it's worth they had a good time together. He made her stay there pleasant and worthwhile.
