This is really good! The skips were a little abrupt at times but other than that I found it well written. Also I love the fact that you still included Madara! He's so totally my favorite character :)

Before, I didn't even wonder what Natsume's life would turn out to be if he was adopted by a famous exorcist, aside from the Matoba and Natori clans, since there wasn't any canon candidates and an OC, imo, just would not do. It's not too hard to imagine now, thanks to your fic, Takashi could be happier as he was adopted by one who also had The Sight and was surrounded by friendly Ayakashi all his life, plus he was taught some useful, self-defend techniques, together with all the youkai related knowledge, well before he met Nyanko-sensei. I wonder, now, that if the Takashi of this altertative world wasn't 18 by the time Hakozaki-san passed away, would he be afopted once more time? Would it be the kind-hearted Fujiwaras this time? And wouldn't it be so cool if he had two dragons and a noble white beast as constant companions? So, in short, here he had knowledge, strength, and friends and I'm sure he also had confidence; My, it seems in this universe Takashi could even be so much more powerful than his canon self already is.

Awh. That was great! Even if the timeline was messed with a bit, that was just so perfectly fitting to the overall tone of Natsume Yuujinchou
