One question: why didn’t Harry mention that Emma essentially dragged him into following her? It might have led to him receiving a lighter punishment, and after the Dursley’s, that’s something that he should have been worried about

Thank you, I have always questioned the decision to make Ron a prefect. His grades weren’t up to it and would’ve been worse if not for Hermione. He had far too many detentions and points taken. Hot headed to boot. I hope Dumbledore doesn’t win this round.

I'm a bit late, but welcome back! Hope you've had a better 2019 so far.

I grieve with thee about your troubles hon. Know that there are plenty of us in the wings if you need a friend or an anonymous ear to talk to.
On a brighter note though, I can say from personal experience that writing is one of the best escapes in these situations. Don’t be afraid to dive between the pages, so to speak. Even if you only free write and edit months later, it’s a cathartic art form. And it can make your characters, plus you, stronger. Rant in uncertainty, because some chapters later you’ll find personal clarity.
But most of all, as a huge fan, please don’t give up on this amazing story. I’ll happily wait weeks for monthly updates, so long as this story goes on. It’s one of the greatest HP fanfics I’ve ever read and trust me when I say I’ve had a few years to peruse the archive.
If nothing else, know I’m rooting for you.

Oh, you really don't like Ron. While I normally prefer fics without Ron bashing, it's not over-stated in your work and I can therefore ignore it. Further, you've actually fleshed out all your characters and that makes it quite an entertaining read. I adore the track you took with Neville in this chapter. I also really like what you did with Percy and Emma's outburst as I always find it quite disheartening to see Percy hated for standing up for himself and what he believed was right. All the events and arcs were beautifully written and I have greatly enjoyed reading your work so far. I wonder whether Ginny's infatuation will become more prominent later on and I can't wait to see Drarry go public. I'm sorry to here about your parent's trouble and hope that life sorts out for you and your sister. Keep updating for this is an amazing piece.

First of all, I'm sorry you are having so much familiar problems, it's always difficult and taking sides most times creates even more arguments, which makes it way more difficult. Also, be sure I'm not criticizing you, only speaking about what I know, and as a fellow follower of your writing for all this time (I believe it's been already some years) is normal I get to start caring also for the writer, so I hope if not to everything to go well, at least to get better.
Have a good Christmas and happy New year, and even if we don't know each other, know that you have a family in all of us also, I believe.
At the least, that's how it has been for me since early.
