a suggestion if you will... the story is confusing with you using present and then flash back, over and over again. and you seems forgot to put a separator or something when the flash back ended, correct me if I'm wrong. i think you need to create a chapter where it is full about flashback and then the next chapter about present time. present to flashback and to present again is very confusing you know, makes people confused to read, for me at least.
