Suzy Apple chapter 1 . 12/30/2018 Simply, the best FF story I've read. Bravo. So enjoyable. Keep writing. You are excellent. |
Vivien99 chapter 3 . 12/19/2018 I'm really enjoying this story, just as the others you wrote! Looking forward to when I have enough time to read the next chapters |
Guest chapter 48 . 11/17/2018 This is by far one of the best stories I have read yet of the Musketeers.I really hated to see it come to an end. It is difficult for me to find a story I can sink my teeth into especially since I prefer one with many chapters. It is just the past 6 months or so I have discovered this series and I am absolutely obsessed with it. Many a night I am up till the wee hours of the morning watching the episodes or trailers or reading the wonderful fanfiction that is thankfully available. My regret is that I have a lot of questions about some of the episodes and no one to converse with. I wonder if there are any current forums that I could join or just some way to connect with others about the series. If you happen to read this post can you please give me some ideas? Thanks again for your absolutely awesome story! |
Tidia chapter 48 . 6/26/2018 A sort of happy ending :) |
Keesha chapter 48 . 6/24/2018 A very satisfactory ending to a great story. Best of luck in the writing competition. |
MusketeerAdventure chapter 48 . 6/23/2018 This is such a wonderful ending to your epic story! I have enjoyed every chapter of this journey and look forward to reading your next endeavor! In my minds eye I can just imagine d'Artagnan introducing his daughter to his most beloved of brothers and hero! I am crossing my fingers for a brief epilogue of this moment! Thank you. |
MusketeerAdventure chapter 47 . 6/23/2018 Although, in this chapter, Athos' grief was painful to read; I liked how you infused a sense of optimism with the anticipation of new life and new beginnings. The Inseparables side by side was a wonderful way to end the chapter. |
MusketeerAdventure chapter 46 . 6/23/2018 Well it looks like Constance is about due and the worry is palpable on all fronts! |
MusketeerAdventure chapter 45 . 6/23/2018 This was great! Brujon's building panic was delightful to read! You had me smiling with sympathy for the poor guy! What I most enjoyed here was the long awaited talk between Athos and d'Artagnan. Athos' genuine smile; his love for d'Artagnan (and vise versa ) was portrayed with perfection. Thank you. |
MusketeerAdventure chapter 44 . 6/23/2018 I enjoyed this chapter, especially the speech here between Aramis and Milady. Her heartfelt, "put in a good word for me" very moving. You portray her character beautifully...complicated! |
AnnyB chapter 48 . 6/21/2018 I enjoyed this story very much and thought the ending was superb! It was open-ended (left to the reader's or your future imagination) and there was closure. IF you were to continue with this story line at a later, what do you think about Milady becoming Aramis' spymaster, and a potential reunion/reconciliation with Athos? No matter what you write I will be reading and look forward to 'Repercussions'. I did enjoy how the original 3 had there moment together. The 'Philia' love demonstrated in their brotherhood is such a foundation in their story. Their friendship and love is healing for Athos and each other. We could use more of that in our world. Hope all goes well for you in the upcoming competition. |
erinsgirl chapter 48 . 6/21/2018 I'm sorry this story is finished but it was a good finish. I didn't see the king's offer coming but I think it suits Athos now even more than the spymaster position (which was what he did during his life with Sylvie and Raoul. It seemed a bit too close to home still, so to speak. The spymaster position down the road maybe). And I love how it came about. The king showing he inherited his father(s)' and mother's ability to bend others to their will. The blunt innocent and enthusiastic honesty which I think Athos would respect and appreciate more than anything and the reminder of similar young men he knew. The opportunity to teach talent brought back happy memories of his musketeer live I think. Add in the fact that the king is essentially his secret, estranged (?), honorary nephew and only slightly older than his own son. It makes perfect sense to go this route. This is the first story of yours I've read. I'll have to go back and read some of the others. Can't wait to see your next ones. |
Buckeye01 chapter 48 . 6/20/2018 What a sublime ending for this story! I could very well picture Athos as the perfect choice for the new cavalry commander position; and I'd imagine he'd do a superb job. What a great and fitting "new beginning" for Athos. If they ever did a season 4 of The Musketeers, I would LOVE to see Athos filling the role as Cavalry Commander - I would be hooked! Great Job! |
Scooterwoo chapter 48 . 6/20/2018 What a wonderful ending- Athos is smiling! Thank you for an amazing story that has kept me completely hooked for a year and a bit, as Retribution and Renegade did before. You have kept us readers guessing and hoping for possible outcomes throughout the story writing beautifully with wit, ingenuity and emotion - I'm just happy the brothers are a together now and Athos' lip is twitching again! When you started this I was very dubious about post series 3 writings but now I hope you will change your mind, should something enter your head, and continue with them as you have left its ending very open to be continued from. Thank you again and I hope you are able to complete your new novel in time and to your liking - my fingers will be crossed for you on the 13th July, I'm sure you won't need it but Good Luck in any case. |
sue d chapter 48 . 6/20/2018 I have loved this wonderful story from the first chapter. To have the four men working together again was great. I love them all but the scenes between athos and aramis were so touching. They were my favourites in the tv show. Had expected the young king to be the reason for athos staying. And I cant understand why some readers didnt like where the story was going. Season 3 was a bit iffy but this story tied it up lovely. Good luck with your own writing. You have a great talent. And I look forward to more musketeer tales. |
