Your AN almost sounds like an apology. I very much appreciate that you have respected the integrity of your story to take the time that it's going to take for you to finish it with as much purpose and thought as the very beginning did. (Wow - convoluted sentence! Hope it made sense!) I have read several very well-written stories whose end fell really flat and failed entirely to integrate with the rest. That makes me sad and not a little frustrated. So - no sorries!

I was extraordinarily affected by this chapter, not because anything extraordinary occurred (though really satisfying to understand how/why Edward's change took place), but because your prose was so beautiful .

I'm sorry to hear that you hadn't been well (since I am writing this in May of 2020) - I assume you're better! I absolutely loved that Bella wrote out what she needed to say. Those of us whose verbal IQ drops to 50 when we're upset need that as a way to communicate!

The events in this story so far, but especially this chapter, brings up another issue I had with the original story. Aside from some self-deprecating blather from Bella about how she understood why Edward left her, she barely made a fuss when he came back. This is not the behavior of a healthy young adult woman!

Huh. I cannot write fiction, so I've never experienced what you just described. Apparently, talented story writers have their characters take up residence in their heads and make their own demands. My daughter assures me that this is true. So, I am sorry for you having been taken over by the Cullens. At least it's not Alice :) LOL!
