Ah poor Iowa, welp at least she has some knowledge on the Cold War-modern era weapons the Strangereal girls are packing, more than even most of the other Americans it seems. I haven't to say though she's quickly become my favourite of the canonical Manville cast here, alongside Nagato.

Great story so far, hope you are thinking of continuing it. Also, why do I get the feeling that the carrier in this is either Vulture or Buzzard?

you seem to be missing parts of the story, such as kestrals resupply attempt among other things. most of these are on spacebattles forum, but not here, which is how I know about it. its a good story, but those missing scenes can leave out important details or context, which leads to some of the story seeming choppy or half finished, and deprives us of the comedy context when you try to lik it to a non-existant part of the chapters. other than that, great story

Can we expect the Kestrel Fleet (AC5), crews (fairies) included, to sing "The Journey Home" at least once, and maybe have the Razgriz squadron either sing or put on speakers "The Unsung War"? It would be great. Or have Kestrel sing it as her first transmission to the Yuktobanian ship girls, who quickly joined in... even if it is in the middle of a battle. It's not the first time the carrier did this after all (Sea of Chaos mission).
The Yuktobanian ships will have great news for Kestrel. After all, her pilots not only managed to win this war, but also destroyed a ballistic satellite and the remaining Belkan Aces. And can we expect the rest of Kestrel Fleet to show up, since only a few Osean ships are absent... and one was a seized freighter containing many planes... something to make up for Kestrel's lack of planes and really rip the Avyssals a new ones.

Again...LOVED this story. For accompanying music, you could use the AC5 OST. For when Kestrel first appears and finds her planes, the track Shorebirds. For when she engaged the enemy fleet to support the other girls, Naval Blockade or even the suite from the movie The Final Countdown, as the movie features a similar situation of a Nimitz-class Carrier, the Nimitz herself, going back to the day before Pearl Harbor. F-14s from the legendary VF-84 squaring off against Zeros. An awesome scene you should check out of Youtube.

I just noticed you had Kestrel moving at 17 knots. It's worth noting that because she's a not!Nimitz, she's nuke powered, which means she can run at full ahead *indefinitely*. That means 30 knots (maybe higher) without working too hard.
