I just really love the idea of getting to see Killian and Emma actually calm and peaceful, enjoying the simple everyday of married life together. They've actually had enough downtime to relax, and figure out that they do want to have a child together. This is simply beautiful, and I really wish the actual show had left time for some of this. At least there are writers like you to fill in some of those blanks for us! :)

My heart ached for Killian, when he immediately assumed it was his fault though. However, I like that the come to the idea of adopting and are both so committed to giving a child with a tragic background like both of theirs a home and a family.

Oh, you wrote how they met young Elizabeth, her similarities to Emma, their wish to give her a true home, and all the details of her initial wariness and then how she fits into Storybrooke and her new extended family so perfectly! I could see it all play out in my mind's eye as I read. I so enjoyed the lovely little details: Regina wanting to help with the adoption process, Snow wanting to have a welcome party at the diner, Tink setting up a dance studio where Elizabeth takes lessons, and Granny's perceptiveness and wink over their anniversary. It all felt so real and true to the characters we love.

Their anniversary picnic and celebration are so wonderful and romantic. Though I would expect nothing less from the Killian Jones we know and adore, I am just crazy about how clearly you show that four years married have not slackened his devotion to and desire for Emma in the slightest. The picture you paint of them still very much in love and desiring each other is so heartwarming, along with their joy at Henry, Ellie, and a baby making them complete at last.

Snow and David's reaction as grandparents is priceless too when they tell them the next morning!

But poor Ellie! We understand - but it still gets us her fear that they will give her back now, even more so when Killian reflects how much her scars and wounds are like Emma's. Wonderful and simply lovely how Killian and Emma continuously reassure her with time and actions and love that she is theirs and will always be, no matter what.

I love how sweet Ellie is when she comes around, wanting to hold her little sister, and even suggesting a name. Killian's awe at his three girls is just overwhelming it's so sweet and beautiful. This was a lovely one through and through - I'm so glad I got to read it!

This made me happy. I absolutely loved this story and Elizabeth. I kinda wish there was a second part. Like did Ellie ever find out about the magic and that the fairytale characters are real?
