Thought you were going to give her a REAL case of karma and Obliviate away her entire life, leaving her in a different country with a false identity, no documents, and no idea what was wrong. This almost seems too merciful - she might be able to make it, after all, if she stops crying and starts thinking. I'm a hopeless optimist/sentimentalist and hope Winky is lying about what REALLY happened - that is, she took Harry's body but found out he was alive, resuscitated him, and quickly arranged for them to go to Gringotts, whereupon he managed to bribe goblins into listing him as officially dead and skedaddled before the Death Eater showed up to verify his death. After all, it's DH, and Ron's Killing Curse might have only killed off the Horcrux. Good story, if very dark. |

| Nova chapter 1 . 5/17/2017 Good stories like this are so hard to find. Where bad shit happens and there is no great big hero or rescue, just resigned defeat and hope for escape. You don't want to read them too often but when you do they usually only half deliver, at least for me |
