Thanks for giving an explanation for how genjutsus and whatever else works in this world. The original show did a terrible job of explaining how genjutsus work. Do you need to have eye contact? Is it proximity? Is it only mental manipulation or can it change the physical world? So thanks for having the vase be a proximity jutsu. Though the only complaint is the chakra system is incredibly hard to follow. Can't speak for everyone, but because of how broken jutsus are in the original Naruto, I want it spoon fed to me how everything works as this story feels like it has rules and actually follows through on them.

Loved the part Kakashi replied to Obito's question of Axel with "That's Axel's business." To me, this was a great show of character of Kakashi that he trusted no one. He is still that arrogant ninja that thinks he is better than his team and this is good. He is only thirteen(ish) who fully threw him into the ninja lifestyle with no luxuries or warmth like a loving family or close friends. This also shows how the kidnap of Axel was possible. With EVERYONE in the leaf ninja structure having the same paranoia they treat other nations directed at their own. From Minato quickly believing that this kidnap had inside help and can't go forward with evidence. And while this hasn't happened yet and you may change it, the spying on the Uchiha was ironically what started the Uchiha uprising in the first place.

Glad to see you back! I was wondering what has happened to you. And you have compensate it with your longer chapter. That's nice. It's a great idea about a persistent genjutsu in there. Someone (presumably the Root agent) has got to maintenance it for a long time. This will mean someone from the Root will bound to come.

Honestly, I did laugh at the significant of a broken vase and its shard. It's almost like the deity above 'lolnop'ing Danzou and Orochimaru and screwed them for good, because once this case revealed to be a big conspiracy, all of Axel' friends and aqcuaintances will not stay silent. Honestly, I don't think Sandaime will let this matter simply go since it involved not only kidnappings but also semi permanent genjutsu. Nothing will be simple anymore because genjutsu is usually fall under Uchiha's domain. The possibility of Danzo steal Sharingan cannot be dismissed either. He could have done it few years back. If so, then the Uchiha will not only straight investigate it, they will outright demand explanation.

It's ironic that dangerous shinobi like Danzo and Orochimaru are being busted because one small act of civilian with no chakra. Now that's the biggest shame in century.
