i like the concept you've chosen here. new gilbert's "anyway" has also appeared on my screen innumerable times. it's such an interesting inflection, like he allows himself a moment to really sink into his feelings, instincts, and dreams, before suddenly jumping back into practicalities.

and at least personally i don't think adoring the new anne series is heretical (unless you were speaking of the YTV series, which you clearly aren't)! i mean really, it's almost like a fan fic that has a budget and acting, and that's what we're doing here, right?

I haven't seen it yet (as I'm waiting for it to come onto netflix) but I have been following it on various social media sites including tumblr, I've picked up this scene from that. Very well imagined and very nicely done, I hope there's more based on the new series as it becomes more widespread, there's plenty based in the 1980s one so why not this... I can't wait to fall in love with Gilbert all over again... and I'm still not over the Green Gables Fables Gilbert! Welcome to the fandom... obsession is our middle names!
