Bummer, seems I'm late to this party and spoke too soon as it's not been updated in over a year but I will keep reading it to the last chapter. Hopefully you will revisit your story and keep writing it. I like the story, screw th Haters, write for yourself and us who like your stories.

Only a bloated caricature of a decadent society would even consider giving an enemy any kind of a break. This is a form of virtue signalling, useful only in domestic political idiocy as all security is squandered by corruptionist politicians sacrificing the public good for their own aggrandizement. Captured enemies of that nature, an existential threat that that you are still at war with, don't get trials or 'civil rights.' You just use them until they are used up.
