There is no way she would be calling them 'mum and dad' after meeting them for five seconds. You could argue that that is a cover for her, so they don't suspect anything, but that is not implied or written at all. Your writing is childish and improper for a person who has lived through a time or war. Either state that she thinks that she has to protect her cover or if that does not flow with your writing, write it in Author's Notes. I sincerely hope this improves your writing. This is not intended to be a thrashing, merely asking for the characters to not be too OOC. If they are intended to be OOC please specify.
